I been thinking about how many of us are really out here trying to figure this shit out as we go. Trying to be better fathers, better partners, better men. Healing from shit we don’t even have the language for yet.

And somewhere along the way, we gotta be careful about what we allow to shape how we see ourselves and our community. Don’t let internet narratives convince you that you don’t have community or that our women are the enemy. Somebody is making money off keeping us angry and divided. Don’t fall for it.

We gotta hold ourselves accountable without hating ourselves. Give ourselves grace without making excuses. Set boundaries without shutting everybody out. Develop discipline, forgive ourselves, and keep doing the work even when nobody’s clapping for us.

My G, you don’t have to fix your whole life overnight. But you do have to stop treating every day like it’s disposable. Start with one choice that moves you toward the man you say you want to become.

Check on your people. Be present with your kids. Make the apology. Have the difficult conversation. Take care of yourself. Love people without losing yourself in the process…and don’t wait for permission to begin.

I want better for us than just surviving, getting money, and pretending nothing hurts. I want peace, accountability, and a community our children can feel safe growing up in. So today, choose connection over division, healing over performance, and action over excuses.

We don’t have to be perfect to be better. We don’t have to be enemies to heal. But we do have to start…and we have to start with us.
