Klaatu is a Canadian Prog Rock/Psychedelic band formed in 1976. Their first album, 3:47 EST, had no musician credits or biographical information. They also avoided public performances. An article written in the Providence Journal by Steve Smith, speculated that this album was secretly a Beatles album released under a pseudonym! Of course the rumors were flying! We hope you enjoy our content. Please stay tuned for our next Pop Up Record Shop where you can buy records like this one and more!

It's WEEK #7 of the "Space to Be" BOOK CLUB!

Here is the link: https://carrierice.org/summer-book-club-home/week-7-hike-the-woods

We are almost to the end. This is a big week too! This week is about getting outside in nature. We will work on BALANCE poses this week. This week will feature TREE, EAGLE, and rock pose. Once you have listened to the intro track and followed along in the book you will be ready for the track sung by my friend Rebecca Ramsey Douglas.

Pay special attention to the phrases:

*Time Slows down, on this trail I found
*Birds sing a song, as I am walking along
*Know in my soul, I’m part of everything
*Forest Bathe
*Find my balance, cares go away
*Beauty within, I know my worth
*Peace in my mind, my body is my home.
*I can breathe and find some space, Anytime I want, I come to this place.

There are so many sensory moments in this song. See what else you can hear. Then talk about how listening to the world around us helps us stay so much more present and aware. This is a powerful song, not just for the physical benefits of balance, but also reminding us that it is so important to find the peace/quiet/balance in our busy busy world.

There are a few more activities that go along with this week. So see the FULL Blog post to follow along.

Please feel free to tag @youthyogaschool or use #myspacetobe if you share any of the activities you try on social media. I, of course, would be super grateful for any and all shout outs!

If you don't have your hands on the book yet you can order online, use code: BOOK CLUB for free shipping. https://carrierice.org/shop

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

See you all next week! It will be our final week!
