The LeCompte Kalaway Cup brought polo, tradition, and a packed crowd to Barrington Hills, Illinois, for one of the area’s signature events of the year.

A look from above at the polo field, spectators, tents, and grounds during this annual Barrington Hills tradition.

Bubbles, Bites & Boutiques was created to bring something special to the western suburbs: a curated shopping experience featuring remarkable small businesses, many of them women-owned, community-minded, and not always easily found locally.

I met many of these boutique owners while attending charity events across Chicagoland. They were there doing two things at once: building their businesses and supporting important causes. That stayed with me.

Now, I will be inviting a curated group of vendors into my 2,000-square-foot Beyond Shades gallery for a soon-to-be-announced pop-up shopping experience designed to bring beautiful products, thoughtful brands, and community together under one roof.

I cannot wait to introduce them to you. 🥂

Ladies… what a week.

The fashion. The energy. The joy you shared on that runway. Every single one of you helped elevate Susie Goldschmidt’s Outstanding Citizen celebration into something truly special.

From the incredible boutiques, to cheering on your favs, to the confidence and elegance each woman brought into the room, this felt like so much more than a fashion show. It felt like community, friendship, generosity, and celebration all woven together beautifully.

@susiegoldschmidt “little big sister” 🤗did great. Seeing their mom cheer both her girls on from the audience will forever hold a special place in our hearts. There were so many gifts in that room beyond the fundraising itself.

Thank you to every model who showed up, stepped out, and made the room shine. You looked absolutely fantastic.

If you modeled in this year’s show and would like to be tagged, please send us a DM or comment below so we can properly celebrate and recognize you.

The 2026 Amity School Children’s Aid Fashion Show and Luncheon was a beautiful celebration of community, generosity, fashion, friendship, and purpose.

This year, we proudly honored 2026 Outstanding Citizen Award recipient Susie Goldschmidt while raising critical funds to continue supporting children and families in our community through an organization that has served for more than 100 years.

From outstanding boutiques, glamorous fashions, community models, fantastic silent auction items, and both new and longtime friendships, the afternoon was filled with energy, generosity, and heart. Even the men joined us for the fun.

And when it came time to support the mission, paddles were raised high by many determined to make a difference.

To everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, modeled, sponsored, bid, and supported, thank you for helping continue a legacy of care, compassion, and community impact that has lasted for generations.

With graduation season here, I’m reminded of our “Home Stretch” project.

We were given 60 days to fully furnish and decorate the entire first floor of a newly renovated home, ahead of a graduation party being held there.

By utilizing both in-stock pieces and custom products, we made this house a home!
