•Surrey Business: Beyond Your Grades• As a teacher, I know how daunting the move into Sixth Form can feel. For many students, it’s the first time they’re really being asked to think seriously about life after school, and if they’re moving to a new school or college, that uncertainty can feel even greater. What’s often surprising is that careers guidance isn’t always a structured part of the timetable. So unless students actively seek it out, they can miss out on valuable support at a really crucial stage. At the same time, parents can feel a little helpless too, trying to navigate university options, the UCAS process, and the increasing range of alternative pathways like apprenticeships. It’s a lot. This is why I think @beyond_your_grades is such a brilliant Surrey-based business. Nicola Renshaw is incredibly knowledgeable, and what really stands out is how approachable and supportive she is. She has a wonderful way of making what can feel like an overwhelming process feel calm, clear and manageable for students and parents. She works with students to: * Explore their strengths, interests and future possibilities * Gain clarity and confidence in the right pathway for them * UCAS Application support from Uni and course choices to a strong Personal Statement. * Secure a Degree Apprenticeship with step by step practical, tailored support throughout the process. It’s not just about getting into university, it’s about making informed, confident decisions and ending up on the path that truly suits each individual. If you have a child in Sixth Form (or approaching it), this is 100% one to have on your radar! 🔗 www.beyondyourgrades.co.uk Camilla xx

📸How do you choose just 20 photographs to summarise a year from the 12,085 you’ve taken? You can’t. Not really. Because how do you capture both the planned and the unplanned, the magical and the mundane, the moments you orchestrated and the ones that simply happened? 2025 wasn’t what I expected. I didn’t anticipate becoming a bottom model (quite the experience, that one) thanks to @sansom_reed I hadn’t planned on meeting one of my best friends to drink Margaritas on a beach in Greece! @nicki.dad The Scarborough Open Air Theatre wasn’t on my vision board but I loved it - thank you @tayberryproperty Rock in May for record temperatures for James’ birthday was a real gift and surprise! Last minute speaking events for @yorkshireladieslinks @yorkshirechildrenscharity But then - neither were hospital trips for testicular torsion and norovirus! Or a new GSP puppy! And certainly NOT a bungee jump on skis! Or climbing a mountain in high winds! But there were also the things I did plan or expect Greece & Cornwall for our annual summer adventures. Many trips to London for work, for my team, for events, to see my BFF’s… Tom passing his driving test & His 18th birthday. A long awaited family wedding! 💖💃🏼 50th celebrations and family gatherings 👌 School visits and rugby matches @sedberghschoolofficial The expected alongside the unexpected. The extraordinary woven through the ordinary. That’s what these 20 photos represent. Not a highlight reel, but a truth reel. The sprinklings of surprise amongst the everyday that made this year mine. The moments that reminded me that life doesn’t follow our carefully laid plans, and thank goodness for that. Because the magic? It’s usually hiding in the parts we didn’t script. Here’s to a 2025 that was nothing like I imagined, and so much better because of it. And 2026 - the script is left unwritten … Wishing everyone in my instagram community a very Happy New Year! Lots of love Ali xo #newyear #happynewyear #unwritten #expecttheunexpected #magicofnewyear
