To celebrate World Mental Health Day, we’d like to share our latest article from Friday, the 20th of September 2024:⚽️ DadSpace Tackled The BFG 20th September DadSpace took on The Bearsted Footy Group (BFG) for our 4th Charitable match. The game, held at Gallagher Stadium Maidstone, highlighted the power of community spirit, with participants showing both skill on the pitch and dedication to giving something back to the wider community. “The event not only showcased great football but also fostered community spirit. It was great to see families, friends, and local residents come together to cheer on their teams, reinforcing the bonds that make our community so special.” “Most importantly, we generated significant awareness of both causes and raised £2,652. These funds have been split 50/50 between DadSpace and the Heart of Kent Hospice. This event truly highlighted the impact we can make. Together, we are stronger. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to making this evening a success.” — Denver King, Director DadSpace will use the funds to further expand their support networks for fathers across Kent, while Heart of Kent Hospice will continue their invaluable work providing care and support to those with terminal illnesses. DadSpace soon celebrates its 3rd anniversary. This match also marks 1 year of proudly walking onto the pitch wearing our striking lime green football kit. The BFG was set up in early 2022, post-lockdown. Originally designed as a summer social with a dozen or so locals for a much-needed kick-a-bout on the Village Green in Bearsted. “What a brilliant night at The Gallagher Stadium. Football, fun, and fellowship—our three main aims for the group—were all evident throughout. A really great night! Thanks to Denver and all the DadSpace fellas for making it a night to remember.” — Paul, BFG Chairman Huge thanks to Maidstone United for the use of their brand new pitch and our amazing sponsors. ***Ashford Town Update*** Great to spend the day at Ashford College today as part of their Freshers’ Week! We had the pleasure of meeting lots of fantastic organizations and charities. It was also wonderful to connect with the students and explain what DadSpace is all about. Additionally, it was great to spend time with the Family Hubs team and discuss our expansion plans with KCC. Always a pleasure to see our old friend Craig from Black Wolf Survival as well (exciting collaboration plans coming soon) Off to see Paul from @BFG now to discuss our upcoming charity match on the 20th of September.
