Spinning vinyl has become my therapy...annnnd my ministry 🎧

There’s something sacred about pulling a record from its sleeve, feeling the grooves beneath your fingertips, and letting the needle drop. It’s a moment where the noise of the world fades, and the music takes over. For me, DJing is more than just playing records, it’s creating a space where community can thrive, where strangers become family, and where we can all just be.

The funky beats, soulful grooves, and timeless rhythms remind me that joy lives in the present. Watching those in front of the DJ booth move, laugh, and connect under the spell of good music reminds me that community isn’t just built....it’s felt.

Spinning with my brother DJ J. Green was a vibe unmatched. Sharing the decks with someone who gets the music and the missio....there’s no better feeling. Together, we played not just for the crowd but for the spirit of connection, joy, and freedom that comes alive when the music hits just right.

Grateful for the gift of vinyl, the power of funky hits, and the beauty of people showing up as their authentic selves on the dance floor. Here’s to more nights where we let the music guide us and the community hold us.

I’m thankful to God for my Journey and for all the people that have crossed my path. I’m amazed at the faithfulness of God because I know how unfaithful I can be. I’m grateful that His grace is sufficient for us. Through His grace, I’ve had the opportunity to unlearn so much this year. Unlearning is the process of decreasing, humbling oneself, emptying our hearts and minds of everything wrong (once thought to be right) that we’ve obtained over the course of our lives. Unlearning is the first step of learning. Once we stop learning we stop living. I still have so much to learn. But today I’m grateful for the gift of grace that has afforded me the time and space to unlearn the former things that would steal the abundant life that I’ve been promised. GOD IS LIKE THAT!!! 🙌🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
