Lange’s final production watch that incorporated platinum paired with an entirely black dial was the 101.035. After its production cycle of seven years was cut short, Lange began to reduce their focus on the platinum and black design concept that was apparent in their own models as well as those of other brands. Collectors often assign nicknames to highly sought-after pieces, and this watch earned a fitting one: ‘Darth’. The decidedly monochromatic design of the Darth‘s dial has left a significant impact despite its relatively short lifespan, drawing collector’s attention towards Lange‘s previous ’dark side‘ creations.
