Want to sell your home fast? Do these 3 things to speed up the process👇

Time the market right

✅ Take high quality photos

✅ And most importantly, know what your home is actually worth.

Price too high and you risk sitting on the market. Price too low and you could leave money on the table.

Before you list, know your number. 🏡

Run your FREE ZeeReport on HomeZee, and see what your home is really worth. 💪

In under 10 seconds… 🤯

A few unexpected features could be adding more value to your home than you realize. But the only way to know what actually matters is to look at your property as a whole, including its condition, upgrades, and nearby comps.

The 2026 buyer checklist looks VERY different than it did 3 years ago 📈🏠👇

When house hunting across Oregon and Southwest Washington, beautiful countertops and tile get people through the door but functional everyday features are what actually get offers written.

If you’re prepping a home to sell, or looking for your next move, these 5 features are currently driving maximum value in the PNW:

⚡ 1. Home EV Charging With electric vehicles standard across the PNW, level-2 home charging has gone from a “nice-to-have” luxury to a major daily convenience.

💻 2. Dedicated Work-From-Home Space Hybrid work is here to stay. Buyers want quiet, designated office nooks or flex spaces with actual door privacy—not just a corner in the dining room.

🥫 3. Walk-In Pantry & Prep Storage Storage is king. Extra kitchen depth keeps counters clear, simplifies meal prep, and makes high-traffic homes feel effortlessly organized.

🌿 4. Year-Round Covered Outdoor Living In Oregon & SW Washington, a covered patio is an extra living room. From summer BBQs to cozying up outdoors during our signature drizzle, buyers pay a premium for year-round fresh air.

🧺 5. Dedicated Laundry Room It’s not flashy, but a functional space to sort, fold, and hide laundry is consistently high on buyer wishlist surveys.

✨ Pro Tip for Sellers: You don’t need a total remodel to capture today’s buyers—highlighting small functional upgrades (like an EV outlet or a covered deck) adds instant resale power.

💬 BE HONEST: If you could only add ONE of these to your home today, which one are you picking? Drop ⚡, 💻, 🥫, 🌿, or 🧺 in the comments!

Unpopular Opinion: An updated kitchen won’t fix a 45-minute nightmare commute 🚗💨👇

When you’re touring homes in Oregon or Southwest Washington, it is SO easy to fall in love with quartz countertops, custom tile, and staged lighting. But those features only tell 10% of the story.

The right home isn’t just about aesthetic finishes—it’s about how seamlessly it supports your everyday Pacific Northwest lifestyle six months after closing day.

The PNW Lifestyle Audit (Save this before your next tour!):

The Gear Test: Is there actual garage/storage space for your paddleboards, camping gear, bikes, and rain gear? Or will your living room turn into an outdoor shop?

The Routine Check: Can you picture yourself enjoying morning coffee on the patio, or walking the dog safely down tree-lined streets at dusk?

The Neighborhood Factor: Is there a great local coffee shop, a Saturday farmers market, or a park within 10 minutes?

A house can have every upgrade imaginable, but if it doesn’t fit your daily rhythm, it won’t feel like home. Sometimes a smaller footprint in the right community beats extra square footage every single time.

💬 Be honest: Which is your absolute #1 dealbreaker?

🅰️ Storage space for hobbies/gear 🅱️ Walkability to local spots & parks 🅒 A short, stress-free commute

If you’re looking to buy or sell your home, but you’re getting it’s value through Zillow, then this is for you…👇

A Zestimate can be a starting point, but it doesn’t always know what’s actually happening inside your home.

And that matters because your home’s value is not ❌ based on square footage and recent sales alone.

Buyers also consider the condition of the property, the quality of the renovations, how well it has been maintained, its exact location, and how it compares to similar homes nearby 🏡

A Zestimate may miss major renovations, like impact windows or an upgraded kitchen, and other details that can seriously affect what a buyer may be willing to pay.

It can also compare your home to properties that look similar on paper but are outdated, located on a different street, have a smaller lot, or do not offer the same features 😳…

That’s why two homes in the same neighborhood can have very different values.

HomeZee looks at your home’s photos, condition, upgrades, location, and relevant comparable properties to give you a clearer, more personalized estimate ✅

So, if you want to get an accurate valuation on your home, comment HOME or go to HomeZee.ai for a free report!

You can remodel a kitchen, but you can’t remodel a neighborhood 🌲☕️👇

When you’re searching for homes in Oregon or Southwest Washington, it is incredibly easy to get swept up in square footage, floor plans, and modern finishes. But the real magic of Pacific Northwest living actually happens outside of your four walls.

It’s the local Portland coffee shop where the barista starts prep on your espresso the second you walk in. It’s the tree-lined forest trails of SW Washington right in your backyard. It’s Saturday mornings filling your tote bag at the Woodstock Farmers Market, watching the kids ride bikes at twilight, and greeting your neighbors on your daily dog walk.

That is what transforms a simple house on a map into a place that truly feels like home.

Quick Tip for Homebuyers: When touring a listing, always budget an extra 30 minutes to explore the surrounding blocks. Look for:

📍 Walkability & nearby parks (Portland is famous for them!)

📍 Proximity to community hubs (like local cafes & markets)

📍 The neighborhood energy at different times of the day

At Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Realty Partners, we don’t just help you buy a house… we help you find your community. With 4 offices across the greater PDX metro and SW Washington, we know these neighborhoods inside and out.

💬 We want to know: What is your absolute #1 neighborhood must-have? (A local coffee shop, a nearby hiking trail, or a great park?) Let us know in the comments!
