I've been promising to show you my crochet creations and finally remembered to do it.🧶 These are just a few of my projects I've done this year. I'm absolutely obsessed with making gifts and toys for those I love. I've definitely improved from the first handful of projects and understand it more. Which one is your favorite?

I loved how this turned out. Using a canvas bag was way more easier than doing another lining(UGH).
Perfect for those fall trips to local farmers markets & apple orchards, don’t ya think?

Third!! crochet project of the year is finished! 👒 I'm shocked considering crochet tends to fall behind my other hobbies, but my sister was spending her birthday at the beach this year and I decided her gift needed to be a crocheted sunhat....which was a success! I made this with @woolandthegang 's Ra Ra Raffia in espresso following @bhooked 's sun hat pattern (there is a youtube tutorial and written pattern available for free). Figuring out the sizing first was rough and I ended up having to go down so many hook sizes lol, but in the end it turned out. Plus, once I got past the gauge, it really took almost no time to finish which is saying a lot for a beginner crocheter like me! Now my sister is ready for a summer full of sunshine☀️

Rocking the new sun hat!

It's my first time working with raffia yarn and boy, oh boy... It was hard 😅 I built calluses on my fingers and my hook came loose from its handle. Also, snapped the tail when tightening the magic circle 🙈 Instead of a few hours, this one took me 3 days to make sure my wrists are okay.

I was lucky that I got the gauge without trying 😋 I was prepared to adjust the pattern as M2M.

Also featuring Monsters Tee (pattern by @sharkotea)

Update My Knitting Journal 📓🧶
Because apparently my brain is not a reliable storage system for ‘what yarn did I use’ or ‘why did I size up three needle sizes and still suffer.’

So now I’m collaging yarn labels, writing down needle sizes, rating patterns like a mildly unqualified critic, and pretending I’ll absolutely reference this later instead of just guessing again.

It’s actually helpful though… tracking what worked, what didn’t, and whether a pattern is beginner-friendly or just emotionally misleading. Also documenting skills so I can prove I have learned something over time.

Highly recommend if you enjoy knitting, mild chaos, and future you having slightly fewer questions.
