I've owned my 1957 Kodak Pony II for about six months now, and I'm embarrassed to say that taking a clear photo with it continues to prove surprisingly difficult. My photos are often tarnished by either my unsteady hands (the camera has a fixed shutter speed of 1/60 of a second—slow and prone to blur) or the point-and-shoot's flimsy lens which often comes loose through use, throwing away the sharpness of the image. Only after shooting the roll displayed above did I discover a fix for the lens problem, and now we wait to see whether or not the lack of quality has largely been a symptom of technical difficulty, or if I'm just an inadequate photographer—I'll admit, some of the unfocused photos of late are less a fault of the antique lens, and more a fault of my mismeasurement. The viewfinder is merely a piece of plastic and doesn't change focal lengths as the lens is twisted, and the focus ring is lined with foot measurements; when shooting with the Pony, I'm notorious for asking my subjects something like "how many feet would you say are between us right now?" I digress, and I share my art regardless, and if anything, this batch of it is evidence for @n8seal 's claims that I have the spatial awareness of a toddler.
