My Iftar Plate!
An evening which demonstrates Humanity, Tolerance, Respect, Coexistence, Food and Poetry is how I will like to remember my first Interfaith
Iftar Dinner where I was invited yesterday by @shahlaa.ahmed . We heard some beautiful stories which makes you realise that the world can be such a better place. All we need is a little love and compassion towards each other. .
I met some wonderful people and as they broke their fast, together we ate some delicious food cooked by the ladies. Thank you so much for opening your home and hearts to us. .

I was always a kid trying to make a buck by borrowing 😜... I borrowed 100 bucks from my dad, went to the nearest store, bought 50 rps worth of chocolates , set up my booth, and sold chocolate for five rupees apiece. Ate half my inventory, made 20 rps , gave my dad back his 100 rupee .. not a bad deal 😎.. so borrowing things isn’t a bad idea 💡 till you return it back in time .... 🤓... I am in Bengal handloom cotton saree borrowed from a friend .. n I always look good in borrowed sarees 😜😎... #sareespeak

#gulzar saab speaks of ‘zindagi’ ..yeh तो phir merii mom ki bahut puraani #saree hai. #vintage .
Easily between 45 to 50 years old. I remember seeing her wear it when I was little - the colour always got me smiling. And, years later ..I whacked it off her:). The colour rich. A #silk , with some #satin in it ..#fragile now. Very. About a year ago ..it got ripped a little. My heart too ached a bit. .
When I took it to Imran, my go-to guy for darning ..told him - ‘Naazuk hai ..pyaar se raffoo kariyega please ..’. .

I had to retrieve it back. Not letting it go anytime soon. .
Teamed it here with an #esprit sweater ..as my Sirena #pendant from @manifestdesignn lends its own commentary ..
