Review:
Lucy’s first love, Gabe, broke her heart when he decided to get up and go to the Middle East to cover the war that’s happening. Lucy stays back and lives in NYC to pursue her career. She can’t stop thinking about Gabe and all of the wonderful things they experienced together as a couple.

Later, Lucy decides to date other men to get over Gabe. She ends up marrying a wonderful and caring man named Darren. Throughout this book, you read about her marriage and their growing relationship, but you also read about Lucy’s thoughts, which always goes back to Gabe.

Even though she is married, Lucy still keeps in contact with Gabe, even if it is once in a blue moon. Darren finds out about it and tries his best to be as understanding as possible, but also making sure that Lucy isn’t having an affair with Gabe.

What happens with Lucy? What happens with her marriage? Does she ever stop talking to Gabe?

This was such an interesting book and I’m sure many can relate to a first love and making a comparison, whether it be good or bad. I honestly don’t know how Darren kept his cool and how he was pretty understanding with certain situations. I highly recommend this book!!

31 years ago we took a chance on love. Though we didn’t know it that night on our first date the stars were aligning for the two of us to start our journey. Our incredible run of over three decades has brought us to live a life of many experiences. We’ve owned three homes, have two beautiful children, vacationed in some amazing parts of the world and have grown to love one another all over again and again. I am so glad that fate brought us together and that we work through our challenges because baby, a life with you is worth living. #ithinkiloveher

Oh, Margo. She was dealt a rough hand growing up, raised by a single mom with an online poker addiction. Her pro-wrestling father was entirely absent, living the wild life and making lots of babies with lots of women. It was almost destined that Margo would make some not great choices of her own.

When she chooses to have a baby at 19, conceived with her college professor, she quickly realizes that essentials like rent payments, diapers and child care are more than she can afford as a part-time server. But there may just be an answer: OnlyFans. And inviting her estranged, addict father into her life.

The upside here? Margo has a huge heart, an innate sense of responsibility, (even when she occasionally gets off track), and is a really good mom. She persevered and made the best out of her situation, however unconventional the means. My friend @biblioreviews said it best…I just wanted to give her a hug and support!

This story, in turns, made me laugh, cringe, and broke my heart. Through it all I was rooting for her to succeed! This was a fresh, contemporary coming of age story with a heroine I won’t soon forget.

When you show up to a volleyball tournament to watch your boys play and you both brought the same book to read during the downtimes.
