NYCC 2026 photo dump!

New York Comic Con was such a wild ride, start to finish. From moderating Battle of the Tropes with icons like Veronica Roth and Jeneva Rose, to four influencer events, to getting asked to moderate a bonus label, to covering the session 3 premiere of Helluva Boss, there was plenty going on. Plus, I got to see so many friends!

And that's to say nothing of all the books I collected.... and there are many.

Like, five suitcases....

Oops?

My full nycc vlog and book haul is available to watch now on literaryhype YouTube channel, so go see the stacks on stacks of new books. 🤣

What's a 2027 book you're already excited about?

As more and more early reader copies of The Hollow King trickle out into the world, it is dawning on me that I’m about to fully shut the door on a book I’ve been living in since 2015. What a ride. I am so infinitely grateful to everyone who has been a part of it.

Another NYCC for the books (literally).

Enjoy this compilation of some of the very few photos I managed to capture amidst the chaos. And yes, I included the haul (I know that’s what you want to see!).

See you all next year! 📚📖

The gods were definitely smiling on Camp Half-Blood last night! ⛺️

Thank you to all the demigods who joined us after @newyorkcomiccon for a special evening of camp crafts, content creation, and celestial celebration (oh, my!) ⚡️

Itching to go back to camp, too? Pick up the #1 New York Times bestselling series opener from @rickriordan and @annabelleohauthor, Camp Half-Blood: The Wild Zone. Then pre-order the next adventure, Camp Half-Blood: The Rite of Aphrodite, co-written by @rickriordan and @kylelukoffwrites.

readerfest recap!! ✨🍎

last week i went to readerfest in nyc hosted by @harpercollins @williammorrowbooks @harpervoyagerus @avonbooks @epicreads and it was a wonderful evening filled with books and friends!

i went to the dystopian panel to hear @katiewuwrites @veronicaroth @tahereh and @avasreid chat about their new releases, and was a lucky duck managing to come home with early copies of a bittersweet spell by @beccajross and madder lake by @katiewuwrites (who was kind enough to sign it with a quote i’m looking forward to contextualising when i read the book…)

i brought my gorgeous arc of the sixth faction with me to get signed by @veronicaroth along with the provided sampler (and had a great yap) and also got my arc of broken rival by @tessabaileyisanauthor signed too! (side note: both of these books come out on october 6, which is a ~stacked~ release day)

looking forward to the next one! 😎

turns one!!🥳✨

I can’t believe it’s been one full year of running this account!! I don’t mean to get sappy but I’m honestly so freaking grateful for everything!!🫶🏻🫶🏻

When I first started this account I was so worried that I wasn’t going to make friends or that people weren’t going to like my posts/what I have to say about books but I’m so happy it turned out to be quite the opposite!!🥹 I’ve made so many wonderful connections and I genuinely love you all!!!🥰

I am so so so grateful for all of the opportunities this account has given me because wdym I get to read ARCs of my anticipated reads?? Or be on multiple author’s street teams?? Or even the fact authors know who I am?? Crazyy 🤭🫶🏻 and because of this acc. I’ve also found some pretty amazing writers and I cannot wait to read their WIPs one day!!✨

Thank you so much for all of the support and love you’ve shown!! I love yapping about books and I hope to never stop!! Here’s to another year, more fun memories, and to my forever growing tbr!!🥳🫶🏻

My grandpa, who has been following along on all my book events via photos and posts, said the past week has looked like a whirlwind and that’s truly the best word for it!!

I had the official THE GODS WILL SING OUR SONG book launch party at @bnfullerton and was absolutely humbled and blown away to have standing room only. A very touching moment was when my sister, who moderated the event, asked any camp survivors or descendants to stand. It’s a moment I’ll never forget. Getting to sign a copy for my great-aunt who was at Gila River with my grandpa and great-grandparents was also so powerful

The next day, I was at @bncostamesaca to sign TGWSOS and, within an hour, the entire store was sold out!! I had the absolute joy of having two Violet cosplays and of course had to include both their photos!! Green ribbons and pretty skirts—they were both PERFECT

Meeting readers who are descendents of the camps truly stays with me. One reader, whose photo I included here with permission, shared with me an image of her bachan who had recently become an ancestor and told me about her grandpa who had served in the 442nd, the segregated all-Japanese unit, like my great-grandpa

Thank you for seeing this book and this history

May we always remember

May we stop repeating

SIDENOTE: Amazon has finally restocked so any delays there should be over!!!

THE GODS WILL SING OUR SONG is a sweeping WWII historical romance threaded with magic and myth about two star-crossed Japanese American teenagers finding a love more powerful than the gods—inspired by my true family history of incarceration in the WWII Japanese American camps

THE GODS WILL SING OUR SONG features:

🖤Japanese folklore

🖤Is a sweepingly beautiful and heartbreakingly powerful story of a love so great that it fears no hate

🖤Is comp’d with DIVINE RIVALS, ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE, and LOVELY WAR

📚San Diego Comic Con📚

Baby’s first SDCC 🤩 I only had access on Thursday and Friday, but was still able to get to a couple really fun events, hang out with some of my favorite book friends, and add lots of new books to my TBR!

There were several amazing publishers in attendance and they were so generous with their giveaways. I came home with a stack of really amazing books that I’m so excited to read. I’m so happy with my haul, I don’t even know which book to start with!

On Thursday evening I attended The Wretched Divine preview event with @authoradalyngrace hosted by @fiercereads. There were fun games, delicious snacks and drinks, photo ops, and an incredible goodie bag (with the ARC!). And on Friday morning I went to a @sagapressbooks breakfast where they gifted us a Saga tote bag with a copy of The Farewitch of Foxe Holler. I always love meeting and catching up with fellow program members, and it was so nice to finally see all the lovely Saga and Fierce Reads staff in person. I had such a great time at both events and I’m very grateful to have been included! 🥹

Comic Con was so exhausting and honestly I’m still kinda recovering lol, but I had so much fun! I fear I may need to go every year.

QOTD: If you went to SDCC, which book were you most excited to get? Or have you been to any comic cons/hope to go to one?

⭐️ Also big shoutout to @acotaaj for being on top of it and finding several scavenger hunt pieces so we could win an early finished copy of The Wretched Divine! 😇😈
