Since 1977, the Yawkey Foundation has invested more than $132 million in education across Greater Boston and Georgetown, SC. Today, that commitment continues: we're announcing $295,000 in new Education Program & Small Capital Grants to eight nonprofits strengthening pathways to academic achievement, career readiness, and economic mobility. We're honored to stand with these partners and the students they serve.

Did you know that many state and local races are decided in the Primary Election?

From District Attorneys and the Governor’s Council to state legislators, elected officials play a major role in shaping our justice system, including whether youth justice reforms succeed or fail.

Yet, according to @aclu_mass, 4 in 10 voters don’t know that District Attorneys are elected, and more than half don’t realize the significant role DAs play in the justice system. Even fewer know about the Governor’s Council, despite how deeply these positions can shape how our systems treat young people.

Join us Thursday for the release of our Youth Justice Voter Guide and Election Forum with special guests from @aclu_mass, @commoncausema and youth organizers and other partners from across the Commonwealth who shaped this voter guide. It’s not just about waiting for “someday.” You can live with purpose and joy right now — while setting yourself up for a future you’re proud of. 🔥

It all starts with purpose-driven planning, something @abriaperry from @finstyleofficial helped our students explore in depth:

Tell us: What’s one goal you’re working toward this year? 🎯

Empowering students with @simpme_, @finstyleofficial , and @bicdboston . ✨
