Emil Konishi is an illustrator, painter, and designer based in Los Angeles. His artwork has been shared both locally and overseas through galleries, conventions, and his work as a product designer. He has a special fondness for tactile materials and mediums such as graphite, gouache and acrylic paint.

Emil’s personal works explore themes of self-expression and desire from the lens of a trans, queer, person of color. Sensual and at times erotic, his paintings share the beauty and magnetism found outside the boundaries of gender expression and sexuality. His artwork invites viewers into scenes of intimacy, chemistry, and introspection.
