This is Steve he will be exposed I’m trying to convince my friend to expose him but he is ashamed because he is a male as many victims can be after such a horrible experience* this happen at the bike oven while everyone was drunk. He passed out and woke up to being abused.ask around the bike oven why he left* this was swept under the rug because of his status at the oven but no more* he keeps deleting and blocking the comments instead of defending himself* signs of guilt glad it didn’t work out at bicytekla.

Did you know you can learn how to fix your own bike for as little as $8 an hour in L.A.? 🚲

At @bicicocina , you can learn hands-on bike repair skills while using donated parts and tools. They operate on a sliding scale, and no one is turned away for lack of funds — you can even work-trade your way in.

Don’t have a bike? They also offer “project bikes” you can work on while learning.

Paul Bacca you are a good friend. You always helped. Anyone. Any time. Rest in peace. You will be missed.

If you knew Paul aka ChickenLeather, you know he was always helping. He was a real one. There will be a memorial Sunday Aug 23rd in the lil park across from the bike oven. I’m guessing noon. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🫡

Yesterday evening @revolutionbikeshare and @bike_oven hosted a panel with community business owners and co-op volunteers to discuss maintaining their spaces in an increasingly demanding capitalist climate.

They touched on mobility equity, fiscal challenges, and fighting against institutional paradigms that make it hard to get people on bikes.

The panel discussion is available to listen to on the @midnight.ridazz / @bike_oven page.

We look forward to attending more events like this and getting more perspectives. Hope to see everyone at the next one.

Yesterday @allezlabikeshop participated in a panel discussion @bike_oven with @biketalking and @revolutionbikeshare !!! So many bicycle luminaries in Los Angeles were participating, from OGs to new revolutionaries!!! We’re talking @la_reciclos! We’re talking @lacyclery! We’re talking @esquina.bicycleshop ! We’re talking @bicicocina ! Sadly the attendance was low, especially for so many people out their boasting the “for community mindset”, luckily for y’all like @la_reciclos @ted Talk, @bike_oven had posted the whole discussion on their Insta! Big shout to @rykysbikes and @paisanosbikeshop coming out and participating as well! Independent bike shops need to be talking to each other, collaborating, and so on. We are all in this together, it’s truly is vs the world.

Thank you @revolutionbikeshare for bankrolling this beautiful evening and thank you for answering the hard questions with honesty!

And thank you @anortheastpassion for making this beautiful ceviche I picked up just up the street from @bike_oven at Sycamore Grove Park, I believe @anortheastpassion is there Monday through Saturday, so definitely pull up after your ride. Nothing better than some ceviche when it this HOT outside!!!

Bike!Bike! Oakland was an incredible experience. We traveled north to join the regional bike co-op conference, organized by a coalition of East Bay bicycle collectives. Over four days, @bikebikeoakland brought together workshops, discussions, and group rides across the city, creating space for collaboration and shared learning. Gatherings like these are vital to the strength of bike co-ops—they foster meaningful connections, highlight the diverse structures and approaches of different organizations, and deepen collective advocacy for safer streets and more equitable cycling infrastructure.
Our favorite part of this trip was the warm connections made with other like-minded people who believe in a better world, and the memories made with them. We were thrilled to reunite with past participants from Bike!Bike! CDMX.

A big thank you to @jestjuly and friends for organizing over the few months to make Bike!Bike! Oakland happen. We are inspired and looking forward to bringing new ideas and projects to San Diego! And a special thank you to our host Kevin for welcoming us to his home.

See you next year at Bike!Bike! Los Angeles!!

The Los Angeles All-City Co-Op Ride is an annual community cycling event that connects some of LA’s most beloved DIY bicycle repair spaces, including @bikerowave in Mar Vista, @bici_tec_la in Lincoln Heights, the Bicycle Kitchen @bicicocina in East Hollywood, and the @bike_oven in Highland Park.
Thank you to everyone who has welcomed us since the very first ride. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and celebrate the vibrant community that makes these spaces so special. #sdbicyclecollective #bikeoven #bicitecla #bikekitchen #bikerowave
