Austin King takes the 40-49 age group win in the 63 mile @chinogrinder !!! The conditions were all time, tacky dirt, no dust, cool temps and cloudy. Thank you @_rafterhouse_ for the continued support!

At last🥇🥲

U23 win and 13th overall @bigsugarclassic this last weekend. This result was the culmination of years of hard work but more importantly not giving up. There have been times I have questioned my future in this sport the last couple years but I have surrounded myself with people who have believed in me more than I have believed in myself at times. My family and friends, @emmamarie051, my team @darkskydevo and @bjsellinger for giving me confidence that if we work together we could win this race.

The race itself was about not giving up. Endless rolling hills, an early crash, and positioning errors ment multiple different chases back to the front group. Despite this I stayed in the fight and when it mattered most the legs and body were there. I was fighting for more than myself, and that’s what made the difference.

I shed a tear or two of disbelief coming through the finish as this day where the stars align is what we all chase as an athletes. This day gave me a glimpse of what’s possible when you don’t give up and chase your dreams. For now it’s off to some rest before it’s back to chasing💫
