oh man- i fly out out tomorrow to georgia for my first wedding of this year and it’s settling in that it’s that season again. this year is a little different, I only took on 15 weddings opposed to last years 35 so I’d have time to live in the UK for a month, backpack across california, and train for and run a marathon. life is coming from you not at you!! I couldn’t be more thrilled though that this is my job. I looked back through this wedding gallery from last summer today to prep and decided i’d better share a few moments. chris and arlo are some of the best people i’ve met ever. here are the moments pictured as i saw them!
1. wedding morning passed differently for everyone. all of the kids staying on site tossed an orange around the pool while arlo was getting her makeup done.
2. their officiant going over his notes one last time pre ceremony.
3. lots of helping hands getting arlo into her dress before the first look with her dad. (one of my favorites to this day)
4. i had an hour to go around the property and take detail photos. that never happens haha. exploring all of the old buildings with perfume and jewelry and shoes in hand was a peak life experience.
5. guys getting ready typically doesn’t involve much more than getting dressed logistically, but the conversations and anticipation have always made it one of the funnest parts of the day to photograph.
6. post ceremony- arlo and his sister. they held so much space for each other to live so truly to themselves and i could tell this day meant so much to both of them. siblings are so rad.
7. what is a wedding without words of advice and congratulations from the wise ones?
8. stray cats and also bigs toads roamed the property. I took this around 1am before heading on an uber to the airport.
9. my buddies all weekend. she was the flower girl.
10. details. these were on the table that everyone shared breakfast at on the wedding morning.
11. i’m a firm believer that life holds joy we didn’t even know existed and on hard days i remember how much of it Ive been lucky enough to witness.

Celebrated my Shrek the Third (-efirst) birthday this weekend! (Yes that is the best Shrek movie no I will not be explaining). I’m so thankful for my life and everyone in it 🥹💚
