10/18/24. BIG PINE LAKES TRAIL in Inyo National Forest definitely one of my favorite hikes. This is extremely hard and I recommend to arrive a day prior to adjust to the elevation. I drove really early to BIG PINE CREEK CAMPGROUND $26 per night to see if I can get one of the first come first serve camp sites, 1- 5, the rest need to be reserved online.
I set up ⛺️ and prepare for my adventure the following day, please check weather twice because I took summer wear to a different outcome 40 Degree weather. 🥶☠️. I started hiking at 7am and my plan was to make it to AMAZING lake 2 and back. The research videos are definitely not accurate, this hike is challenging all the way to LAKE 4. SIX miles of trails going uphill before heading down, I change my mind and got inspired by my new friend JIMMY and continued on to see LAKE 3,4,5 the pond and Black lake before heading back. This turned in to a 13.25 and 3,234ft of elevation gain in a 6 hour 40 minute and a hour for lunch on lake #2. I suggest training for this hike and arrive a day prior to adjust to elevation. WATER,FOOD and proper GEAR is a must. No cell phone service download trail map from all trails app to be safe. I will be back for this amazing trail next SEPTEMBER. .

It's been a year since I said yes! 💍

Today is the 1st anniversary of Stephen asking me to marry him (date still tbd: pandemmy pending)

What a year it has been!!

Some of the highest highs (getting engaged, having breakthroughs in my coaching business, adopting Sprout) and some of the lowest lows (2020 in general, depression, sick pups) I've experienced in my life all happened in one year.

One thing that remained stable through it all was Stephen's love and support.

There were a couple months during the first quarantine where I didn't have any new clients: he never asked me to get a supplemental job.

There were times that I pushed everyone away for "not getting me": he stayed close and kept listening.

He never ever tries to change me. Actually, in 7.5 years I feel like I've changed myself in so many ways and that's how I know he's in love with me and not just a certain version of me.

I read and reread that last sentence to myself as I wrote it and felt tears of gratitude well up in my eyes.

That's the man who is going to be my life partner❤

I don't need to ask how you're doing. I already know you're tired. Tired of being strong. Tired of feeling helpless and scared about things you have no control over. Tired of scraping yourself together so that you can show up for yourself and therefore show up for others. 💔💔💔

But don't for one second think that you can't make it through this. Don't for one second think that this is going to be the last battle you'll fight and win. You've survived 100% of your bad days so far and there's been some realllllly bad days. You've overcome them all just like you'll overcome this period of hardship in your life right now. The great parts of life will once again have their time to shine and drown out the darkness, just like they always have before.
You are heartbroken and it's a damn big heart to break but please never lose sight of who you are underneath the heartache. Take the pain and turn it into lessons that will ultimately turn into blessings.💖💖💖

Me: walking away from anything and anyone that no longer serves a positive purpose in my life✌ #unbothered .

To some this might sound cold and calloused but really, I'm talking about freedom and healing. Snow this early isn’t something I’d ask for, but when nature gives you yellow citrus fruits, make a sweet beverage with them. I hiked around Nerstrand-Big Woods for several hours, taking my time and exposing 4 sheets of 8x10 film!
