Upbeat centre

A few weeks ago we put together something special. Over 2 days, in Lagos, Nigeria, @letgirlsreadrungrow, @gear_emup & @globalairdroneacademy hosted 50+ students in a SPORT x STEM Camp. It was the first of it’s kind. Together, we held Basketball and Track & Field training workshops, introduced the students to the practice of yoga, and taught the students how to build and FLY drones, before racing them.
We are grateful for all who put in work, time, and resources to bring this to fruition.
A special thank you to:
Our hosts: @idaraotu @staymarvellous @tainesule @whereiseno and to,
@big_015 Coach O, who sponsored our 🏀s & coached
@ikeobioraanthony Coach Tony who coached
@topfieldschools
@ahmay_ahmoo 🎥
@_jorgewong 📸
@dukekunle for volunteering
@proudjourney for our yogi 🧘🏾‍♀️
@upbeatcentre for hosting us

On to the next.😎🏀🙏🏿👊🏿

A few weeks ago I was apart of something special. Over 2 days, in Lagos, Nigeria, I, on behalf of my charity @letgirlsreadrungrow, along with @gear_emup & @globalairdroneacademy hosted 50+ students in a SPORT x STEM Camp. It was the first of it’s kind in Nigeria. Together, we held Basketball and Track & Field training workshops, introduced the kids to the practice of yoga, and taught the students how to build and FLY drones, before racing them. The students were pleased, and I was blessed by their joy.
I am grateful for all who put in work, time, and resources to bring this to fruition.

I can’t name everyone who gave, but know your donations were felt by all.
Thank you.

@topfieldschools Basketball team was @ the end of year gathering at our Home Training Court(Navy Barracks Basketball Court,Mobil Road,Ajegunle,Apapa,Lagos)and it was quite eventful.

The Annual end of year gathering which is always hosted by Basketball Veterans and Graduates of the Academy started with a mini drill session by Head Coach @ikeobioraanthony and Coach Shadrach Ovih for the U-10,U-13 and U-16.

Give aways followed for the U-10 and U-13 by Coach Shadrach Ovih

Then,it was game time with rotating sets amongst the age Categories.

Awards for outstanding individuals were given out to Uchechi Nweke (MVP U-16 female)

Opene Nathaniel (MVP U- 16 Male)

@twinkiedaph (MVP U-18 Female)

@gimzzy12 (MVP U-18 Male)

Fun fact #Topfieldites😎

and of course A Special Recognition Award to Coach @ikeobioraanthony for the work he has done with the kids on the court for the past 15years+

Present where graduates from the court who had excelled in the game of basketball from home and abroad.

2020 promises to be more awesome.

Go Golden Topfield

Go Golden State Academy

Go Navy Barracks Basketball Academy.

Thank all to which believed in a vision and helped to implement it! Thanks to all of the sponsors and even more my friends and family who help curate the inaugural Magic City Cup!

Here’s a video done by @juliangigante to sum up the last event that we hosted. It literally was exactly what we wanted it to be. We brought the community together through soccer, broke barriers, established new relations, and had a blast watching the best athletes in the City play for the grand prize! If you missed out, don’t worry. Stay tuned for our next installation!
