Nolan’s FIRST birthday! I can’t even believe I get to be the mom to the sweetest little boy on the planet! He loves all things books, Dada, and making sounds! We are so blessed that God called us to be his parents!

Thankful is an understatement when it comes to getting to love this little boy!

Nolan Luke Shotton! Born October 6th, 2024! This month has literally been life changing. Being a mom is something I’ve always wanted to be. I have enjoyed his sweet snuggles, learning his routine, and just enjoying the little boy God gave us. I have also loved getting to see Zach as a dad. He has filled this new roll perfectly. He takes him on walks, talks to him about tons of things (lots of sports), and has been the most caring/consistent encourager as I have gone through postpartum healing. This new chapter of life has given me a thankfulness beyond understanding. The Lord has been so good to me. I wasn’t sure if I would ever get to experience being a mom, but the Lord has blessed us anyway. Cheers to the many more years of Nolan Luke Shotton!

Well, it’s our little buddy’s due date, the first day of October, and I haven’t recapped what a great Summer this one was. We started out with leading a team to one of our favorite places, Eleuthera, Bahamas. The Lord was so good while we were there and I am so thankful for that place. After Eleuthera, my family took a fun/relaxing vacation to Florida. We do this every year and now that place has suffered a ton of damage from the hurricane… for sure makes this last trip more special. After Florida, we went to Illinois to see Zach’s family, have a fun 4th of July and celebrate our little buddy and his little future cousin with a sweet baby shower. Next was a super fun baby moon with Zach. We explored California and experienced new things together. (I think experiencing new things with him is one of my most favorite things about life lately.) Then there was a quick turnaround and my mom, sister, niece, and I went to Mexico for a girls trip. Again, so thankful for that special time. The Summer ended with another amazing baby shower. Our little buddy (who should hopefully come sooner rather than later) is so loved already. Thank you to everyone who came! I am so excited to see what the rest of this year holds!
