Sadly, My Mother, AKA Gaga, passed away peacefully yesterday morning at 1005 am under hospice care at Stoneridge in Myerstown.
I was with her all afternoon Monday, and yesterday had a Dr appointment to remove my stitches from my knee( torn meniscus )... I was heading there to sit with her and didn’t make it😥
She was THE best mom and Gaga and lived a long life to 90!
She worked FULLTIME as a telephone operator till she was 80!!!!
The last 4 1/2 years she suffered from Dementia, but lived in assisted living at KV Ephrata. Last year in June she fell, was in ICU with a small brain bleed and went down hill fast.
I was her primary caregiver and she knew me till Christmas…thankfully and gratefully!!!
New Year’s Eve she had a TIA, and I decided to start Morphine as she was in pain and couldn’t verbalize any longer.
I have wonderful memories of her and she was a very strong woman! She traveled to many European countries and took numerous cruises too. Our best memory is of her playing Mrs Claus each year at her company parties. Most especially she was a fantastic Gaga to her one and only grandchild, my son, Alec.
She taught me soooo much, and she was my motivation to stay alive during my OC treatments because she needed me!
Here’s a few pics of us and our last pic together when she knew me still at Christmas! My sister made it home to see her, so she took a beautiful BnW pic of us holding mom’s hand, sniff, sniff .😢
I know she’s in heaven with my aunts and grandparents playing Canasta and Chinese checkers!
RIP Mother, you will be missed but never forgotten! #natures_notes_ 🙏🏻😥💙(There’s more in my IG Story)

🤩👗What a great day at Neshaminy State Park today with over 1,000 walkers/runners all celebrating “Together in Teal” for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition!!!
Our ‘Kelly’s Team Oscar’ raised $6,499 and surpassed our original goals by leaps and bounds for our FIRST year there! We were a 2023 top team, ranking 8th out of 102 teams for monies raised!!!!
I am overwhelmed, blessed, and oh so VERY grateful to have had such wonderful messages of inspiration and very generous donations given towards this cause! I cannot thank you all enough for your donations, as well as to my supportive team of walkers!!! I know my tribe that were not able to make it to the walk were all rooting me on from afar too!!!I’ve made it ONE year, and will continue walking yearly for OC… so mark your calendars to join us next year! 🫶🏼👗🙌🏻🙏🏻😘🥰👟🚶🎉 #natures_notes_ #thankyoudonors #thankyouforbeingafriend #goteamoscar #nocc_delval #noccteamteal #ovariancancersurvivor #nationalovariancancerawarenessmonth #cancersucks #raw_humanity
