Game day snacks. Week 8. BACON WRAPPED OREOS. That’s right. It’s time.

One of the simplest game day snacks there could possibly be, I’ve pimped them a little with some limited edition @oreo from the US, with a Coca Cola twist.

Take your Oreo, wrap in streaky bacon. Place on a rack, then into your @traegergrills.uk or equivalent for approximately 45 mins, at 275 F (135 C). You’re waiting for the bacon to turn to a cooked/caramelised colour, imparting some of that bacon goodness into the Oreo, which will soften as it cooks.

Let them cool. Shove them in your gob. Try not to eat them all too quickly. They’re gooood. Let’s goooo

What would Sizzlefest be without the people? Here’s some of the people I was lucky enough to hang out with last weekend, and hopefully see again next year. As always there were so many people I wanted to see and didn’t get to, but I’ll be turning up as long as the lads keep organising such an amazing festival.

Here is a cook I forgot to post a few weeks ago, my trip to flavour town, a @butcherfarrell hanger steak seasoned with @lumberjaxefood cowboy butter. I cooked it on the @weberuk using @bigkproductsltd for the fire. My trusty @meatermade kept an eye on the internal temp. It was served a lovely medium rare on a ciabatta roll then drenched in cowboy butter and just because there was not enough cowboy butter taste I used the left over of it for dunking. Served with green veg and chips. It was bloody lovely.

What a weekend, massive thanks to @charlesr2811 and the @socalbbqshop team for another amazing @sizzlefest_uk, great challenges and great demo's. Loved catching up with friends old and new and getting to meat😜 one of my favourite YouTube pitmasters, Bradley aka @chudsbbq. Next year that @gozney pizza challenge is mine for the taking, I was robbed eh @theirishegg? 😂😂😂. Thanks to everyone for making it the best weekend of the year, it's the best festival bar none.

Had a great day yesterday at @socalbbqshop for @sizzlefest_uk

Got the opportunity to cook with @pitmaster_pedro again on the @lumberjaxefood stand, using all of their amazing products.

I also got to meet so many great people in person. Such a friendly atmosphere and a great day! Can’t wait to go back already.

Bring on the next one team!
