Episode 4 of the Showrunner Bootcamp Podcast is about the role during prep and production. @sashaleighhenry and @bigbelleville impart so much wisdom it's ridiculous. Here's a tiny snippet for you.

Huge shoutout to Jason & Carla at F45 Lambton Kingsway! 🔥🔥

These two bring the ENERGY every single session. They train with intensity, purpose, and heart, and they never leave anything in the tank. When the workout gets tough, they turn it up. When the room gets loud, they get louder.

That kind of effort is contagious. It pushes the whole studio to level up.

Hard work. Big vibes. Zero excuses.

We see you, Jason and Carla 👏 Keep setting the standard! 💪

Jason and Carla Testimonial:

"We’ve worked out at a dozen F45 studios across two countries and it’s undeniable that Phil has made his the absolute best of the bunch. His whole team drives you to work harder than you thought you could, while making sure you’re safe and supported every step of the way. Morning workouts are just better with this knowledgeable, high energy team and an always smiling Phil waiting to kick your ass."

Over the last month or so I've recorded 8 lovely episodes with some incredible guests about the ins and outs of Showrunning. I'm planning to release them all to the world some time in February (stay tuned for dates and platforms as I confirm them). There will be no cost for the podcast.

In the past I've done a Showrunner Bootcamp for diverse creatives and these conversations will touch on all the same material, but in a conversational structure with my guests. Each episode will run somewhere between 90 and 120 minutes.

Big thanks to my guests and to @wbdaccess / Warner Media for sponsoring the training program.

Thanks to my producers Moné Flowers & Keavy Lunch.

And of course Ben Miner and my friends at New Metric Media for the space to record our podcast.

More to come...

I finished the first season of "Going Dutch" this afternoon. I really liked it! Going Dutch is a fun, quirky, and irreverent delight from beginning to end.

The show is so well-written, charming, and absolutely hilarious. It tells a fish out of water story about duty, the father daughter relationship, and dysfunction. The characters are very quirky and likable as well.

Denis Leary leads a superb ensemble, including Taylor Misiak, Danny Pudi, Laci Mosley, Hal Cumpston, Dempsey Bryk, and Arnmundur Ernst Björnsson.

Everything is expertly done down to the direction, cinematography, editing, score, costume design, production design, art direction, and set decoration. Joel Church-Cooper created a humorous offbeat comedy that I would recommend. I'm also hoping for a season two renewal.

Thank you @joelcc75 for having me along for the ride! Go watch Going Dutch tonight at 9:30pm pt on Fox or tomorrow on Hulu 🫡🪖🌷🤩

2024 was certainly the year of GOING DUTCH. I covered set in Ireland for 6 episodes (a month and a half) and helped produce a parade with 350 extras. It was some of the hardest and most rewarding work I’ve ever done. Lots of 6 AM wake ups, lots of cold potato lunches eaten with my hands, but the opportunity to see my dear friend @joelcc75 get a network show on the air, reunite on staff with @renegube and @bigbelleville meet the incredible producer @jackleary and write for one of my comedy heroes @denisleary I was also able to advance my Bruce Springsteen agenda and drink a couple of Guinnesses. The reviews are in and I’m so proud of everything we’ve done.
