Wow my first time back on the platform after 3 years competing at APU nationals 2022 haha. It feels good but what wasn't the best was prep haha. My plan was to do a novice in Adelaide to get my feet wet to do a sanctioned in 2026, but fate decided the novice comp I signed up for in December was cancelled due to not enough competitors. Spoke to my guy @gazzah.physio and he talked me into doing my first long awaited APA comp. So we only really started specialising with about 6 weeks cuz I was on low frequency SBD from starting my cut in September last year. We lost 8.5kgs and decided let's get on the platform. We semi injured the lower back in October and then ran into another lower back tweak in December mid prep LFG!! Oh let's also tweak my left adductor just before I go to Singapore just after Christmas. With mad panic, had to ask my guy @bigbench to program me for the last two weeks of my peak while @gazzah.physio was handling my rehab. @bao.adaptivesc entered the chat to handle me. Despite this it all came together on the day, weighed in at 91.2kgs and competed for the first time as a 93kgs. We trolled @bigbench and accidentally undershot all my 3rds cuz I dunno what a real RPE 9-10 is LOL. Attempts are as follows

Squats 180/195/205
Bench 117.5/125/132.5
Deadlifts 200/220/235
Total: 572.5
9/9 and 27/27 - ⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪ my first 9/9 ever haha

Mad shout outs to @bao.adaptivesc for monitoring my pee colour for optimal performance and ensuring my eating and hydration was on point while also keeping my head on straight when being nervous for my attempts. @gazzah.physio big thanks for ensuring my aches and pains were sorted. @bigbench for writing the two week miracle peak where we got the best out of me from the craziest circumstances haha. @sam_ding980 thanks for all your support and being my wife ♥️♥️. Also it was pretty surreal seeing all of Melbourne APA powerlifting community as I did my first ref exam there 3-4 years ago. Time flies but I always love the community there. I'll be back later in the year to surpass my old bests.

Words cant describe the feeling im going through right now, after 2 injuries consecutively in a 4 weeks span and 1 torn calluse 4 days out I guess this is all I wanted and im nothing but grateful to Allah.

The biggest thank you to @bigbench @_kamistrength for making the most roughest prep into the most smoothest prep in 2 weeks time. Trust me if he wasn't there on this prep I would've not figured out anything for myself. He is the MVP of this whole prep.More credits to him as a coach than me as an athlete 🫶🏻

A big thanks to @mustafa100mehtab for backing me throughout the whole day and being the best uncle I could ask for🫶🏻

A huge thanks to @rehab2robust for the last minute Rehab for my strained trap and SI joint compression. GOAT🐐 physiotherapist
