“Building community one brunch at a time!”

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This Sunday, September 27th, OMI-CPP is hitting the streets for an Urban Hike, in partnership with Big Black Brunch! 🥾🌳🏙️

Come catch a vibe, get some movement in, meet some good folks, and remind yourself that community is still a thing. We’re talking fresh air, good conversation, big laughs, and good vibes.

Pull up. Bring water. Wear some shoes you can actually walk in. And bring a friend, because doing wholesome activities with your folks is officially back.

Y’all already know that San Francisco's Ocean Avenue does NOT play about Halloween, and apparently, neither do our community partners!

A few of our regular community day-ones have already pulled up and confirmed. That’s right: some of the folks who keep showing love to our community all year long, are already locked in for the 2026 San Francisco Ocean Avenue Halloween Block Party!

The usual suspects? IN THE BUILDING.
The real ones? ALREADY OUTSIDE.
The vibes? LOOKING REAL GOOD.

And if you’ve been to one of our events before, then you already know what that means: we ain't done yet.

More partners, more surprises, more Halloween foolishness, more reasons to pull up. Because when Halloween hits Ocean Avenue? WE OUTSIDE, PERIOD!

During the holidays, community leader Ms. Bivett of Bayview’s Big Black Brunch hosted two baking events, a gingerbread house-making competition and a cookie-making workshop, a great fit for youth with a spark for baking.

Thank you, Mentors for the photos and Videos

✨🖤 Lakeview/OMI family, it’s that time! 🖤✨

We’re officially 30 days out from the annual Lakeview/OMI Kwanzaa Celebration on December 29th, 2025, and the countdown is showing nothing but joy, unity, and good energy.

Imagine this: smooth vibes for the culture, live performances that honor the ancestors, the smell of good food in the air, and a room full of folks showing up for community, culture, and each other. That’s the energy we’re stepping into for 2026!

Kwanzaa is all about lifting one another up: celebrating our creativity, our resilience, our joy, and the power we carry as a Black community. So come through and feel the love, feel the rhythm, and feel the Black brilliance shining through every moment. 🖤❤️💚

Mark your calendars, tell your cousins, and text your group chat: it’s almost time to tap in, turn up, and honor our roots together. See you in 30 days, fam! ✨

Beloved San Francisco District 11 family and friends, we’re calling the village together.

On Monday, December 29th, 2025, we’ll be gathering in love, light, and unity to honor the spirit of Kwanzaa: the traditions that raised us, the culture that holds us, and the joy that keeps us moving forward.

Mark your calendars now, because this celebration will be filled with laughter, good food, deep roots, and warm energy: the kind that only happens when the whole community shows up.

More details coming soon, but for now hold this date close, and keep the love even closer.

Bake Therapy 101 was the sweetest vibe! 👩🏽‍🍳🍪

We had a chill evening full of laughter, flour-covered hands, and warm treats fresh out the oven. Kids and adults came together to bake, share stories, and just enjoy the moment. Big love to @bigblackbrunch for guiding us through it all. Can’t wait for the next one!
