💙Which words could I use for this experience of Amorgos? This is not just a place, it is a deep dive in the ocean of feelings, where you are being called to rediscover your true self.

💙Wild and welcoming at the same time.

💙Sea, wind, sun, earth.. all untamed but still inviting you to become an explorer, as your life deserves it.

💙Have the courage to feel everything and have the courage to walk your path.

💙This photo is just one of many, from the photoshooting session I had with amazing Aga @bigblueyoga at the magical rooftop of @aegialis_hotel_spa 💫💫💫

💙Amorgos is a place to be returning to! Soon..

Your practice doesn’t need much, just a place to breathe. Just the wind, the sea, and this moment. 💙

If you feel like having a closer look , touching the pages beautifully printed on my favourite exquisite Mohawk Eggshell paper, smelling it (I always do this with all kinds of books) and if you feel like you wanna take it home with you, you can find it at @25raki.lagkada.amorgos and @altheaceramics_

For a long time, I let my images speak for me. I was never one for big quotes or elaborate descriptions. I didn't need to say more. I still don't think people need to know much about me. But this is for those who want to.
Photography was my first love. Long before law school, corporate leadership, and traveling around the world, there was a Russian analogue camera my grandfather gave me. It was my first teacher in the art of noticing. Long before I learned to work with the fierce Mediterranean light, I trained my eye in the dirty, chaotic streets of the world. I learned to move fast. To trust my gut. Mostly, I had one thing going. I wanted to know my shit inside out. For the love of it.
I was a first-year law student when I discovered Amorgos in the '90s. The island took root in me, and I couldn't stay away. I kept returning until, eventually, I stopped and simply stayed. That's when everything fell into place. It took me years to finally put photography where it belonged.
For me, nothing beats the still frame. In a world that moves faster and faster, there is something rebellious about a single image that refuses to move. I know everything now has to be video. That's simply the language of today. But I'm Gen X. That's just not my game. And I don't care if that puts me out of trend.
Somewhere along the way, my work became centered on women, and today it gives me a great deal of satisfaction. Especially when my path crosses with women who are bold, magnetic, self-aware, conscious of their strength, and secure enough to be seen exactly as they are.
I don't like small talk. I choose carefully where I invest my time, energy, and attention. I don't flatter, and I have no use for being flattered. What interests me is what remains when performance ends. The kind of beauty that cannot be manufactured. The kind that has nothing to do with pretty smiles, expensive clothes, or professional makeup.
I value my time and my vision. I hold the trust of the people I photograph with the same seriousness. But I don't take myself too seriously.
I'm a junkie. For that rush that only photography gives me. After all these years, it's still the only high I never want to quit.

Reaching for it ☀️

There is always something more, right?

Wrong.
What you need is here, now.

Let it be enough.

Or…come to Greece 🇬🇷 😂😎
