Arlo was adopted by the perfect family this past Friday! His new mom was looking for a senior golden to adopt for years. She almost gave up her search & then saw Mr. Arlo pop up.

Goldens don’t often come into rescue and they often get adopted quick, just like Arlo! 💛 We’re so happy for his new adventure.

Arlo has some interest 🤞 and hopefully has a meet this weekend! If you’re interested in meeting Arlo, click the link in our bio to put in an application.

He has typical golden energy and playfulness. He knows many commands and could use some work on the leash. He’s fond of his foster sister Lily but doesn’t like male dogs (nothing that we’ve witnessed, but a note from his previous home) 💛

Welcome to our foster home, Arlo!

Arlo is a seven-year-old golden retriever who is well mannered with typical golden energy. We’ve had him for less than 24 hours and he seems to be very well mannered! He knows a lot of commands like sit, down, and paw. He’s doing well with our two year-old American bulldog Lily!

Come meet Arlo!

This is your reminder that this Saturday, October 10th we are doing an event with Big Bones Canine Rescue and Wiley Roots from 12-4!

We wanted to take a minute to thank the dogs that we have had the pleasure of fostering over the last year and the perfect families that they went home with! Big Bones does amazing work for these pups and we are very proud to get to volunteer and foster with them!

Please take some time to share the message with friends or come by Wiley Roots to meet some more of these sweet faces that are looking to make their forever home with you! With Big Bones, you can adopt, foster, volunteer, donate, whatever you have the availability to do.

We look forward to seeing you there!

From rescue puppy to mold dog. 💜

Otis came home from @bigbonescaninerescue during the pandemic, a puppy with more drive than he knew what to do with. He was the first dog we really invested in well-rounded training with, and Alex at @dreamdogk9 gave him an amazing foundation. Between puppy basics, loose leash and off leash work, and learning to keep his cool around distractions, we could tell early on that this dog would want a job.

His first try at detection work was bed bugs, but his health had other plans. Otis was diagnosed with IMPA, immune-mediated polyarthritis, and work went on the back burner while we focused on getting him feeling good.

Once he was thriving again, @rk9workingdogs did a drive assessment to see if he was still up for detection work. He was. Now he spends his days doing exactly what he always wanted to do, with a tennis ball waiting at the end.
