MADISON ALVAREZ SANDERSON
@mdsnlvrz
📍Acapulco, Mexico
Fibers BFA 2024
_____
Madison Alvarez Sanderson is a textile design artist based in Savannah, Georgia. Madison's multidisciplinary practice explores themes of change and transformation, through textile design.

Drawing inspiration from the narrative arcs and dynamic visuals of films, Madison aims to capture the constant flux of life in her textile-based works. She blends traditional and digital techniques, crafting pieces that appear to shift and metamorphose from different perspectives. Vivid colors, layered textures, and hypnotic patterns create a sense of motion and organic evolution within each composition.

Madison's artistic process is motivated by an endless fascination with the transitory nature of existence. By freezing momentary impressions in sewn, knit, and printed textiles, she strives to encapsulate the impermanence that defines the human experience. Her work celebrates the immutable truth that all phenomena, objects, and ideations are locked in an infinite cycle of becoming and unbecoming.
