POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It takes an unbelievable amount of human hours, determination and passion for the process to build something this large, complicated and beautiful. It would be difficult to do it in any city, but to bring it out to one of the most unforgiving desert environments, all powered by volunteers, is the work of crazy people.

I’m so happy I was one of them. ✨❤️‍🔥

Outrageously wonderful people who love doing wild things “just because”.

I can’t believe how fast time is flying as Burning Man approaches! Looking back just a few weeks to Après Mundi, it feels like months ago… 🤯

I’m still so proud of our team on that one. It had everything a proper rave needs! Should we run it back after the burn? 🤔

Meet Goose! An expert builder and artist. The kind of person burning man is built by.

Goose has been an incredible resource to teach our team how to operate the CNC machine. He is a skilled multi-talent who has made a lot of progress possible for the Sanctuary of the Silent Star at the Loom in Oakland. ✨

To make the Sanctuary, we have got to cut about 150 sheets on the CNC machine. It’s a laborious process. But there’s something meditative about it. We are over a fourth of the way done. Here’s what the daily process is like. Thank you to @bigfunstuff for helping us get up, teaching the CNC way and sharing his creative space & machines with us.
