❤️ THANK YOU, SHEFFIELD! ❤️

African Roots Carnival 2026 happened because so many people showed up, supported, shared, volunteered, performed, created, traded, encouraged and believed in it.

To everyone who attended, our amazing vendors, fashion brands, models, artists, dancers, musicians, DJs, volunteers, contractors, photographers, creatives, well-wishers, supporters, friends, families and the wider community, thank you! 🙏🏾 #

Thank you to everyone who shared our posts, invited someone, bought something, helped behind the scenes, gave their time, or simply came along to celebrate with us. Every contribution mattered.

And a special thank you to SADACCA for partnering with us and providing the space for African Roots Carnival to take place.

This was a celebration of African and African Diaspora music, fashion, dance, food and culture, while bringing people from different cultures together to share and celebrate our unique cultures.

From all of us at Sound Café UK, thank you for being part of ARC 2026. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who came from outside Sheffield to be a part of it

We’ll see you again! 🌍✨

Today marks exactly 9 years since we held our very first event at Yellow Arch Studios back in 2015 after we'd just started RiteTrax 🤯

Last Friday we partied to celebrate all what we've achieved in that time.

Bigups to everyone who came through to plot to celebrate with us and to everyone who's supported us along the way throughout almost a decade of our social enterprise 💕💕💕

Much love

Happy birthday to us! 🎂🎂 9 years in the making and we're still ere!! We're ready to celebrate big time tonight at Plot!

✨ Set times on the final slide ✨ info some more of the acts on tonight below!!!

Adam C-4 b2b Creola ⚠️
Long-time friends and co-founders of RiteTrax, Adam C-4 and Creola, are ready to rinse out Plot 22 tonight to reign in 9 years of the project they started back in 2015. You can expect a whole host of sounds across the dance music spectrum for this set ranging from house and disco to speed garage and 140s ++. This ones gonna be a special one!

Critical Bounce aka Carlito Blacks 🔥
CB is a badman producer and bass slinger on the decks and is also known for being a well versed MC and lyricist too. He played our very first RiteTrax event 9 years ago and many more after that so we knew we had to get him back for this one tonight to bring the purest bassline riddims to Plot 22 for the bday! Hold tight for the wobblerz!

Dylspeed 🏎️💨
Pls give a warm welcome to one of our newest residents, Dylspeed!! They've just moved into one of our studios upstairs in Plot 22 so tonight will be an official initiation into the RiteTrax family :) 💕💕💕

This self proclaimed "DJ of various genres" will be cooking up a mish mash of 160 grime, breaks and garage to close the 9th Birthday tonight, so you best be there with us till the end for this one!

Remember it's FREEEE B4 11PM so come join us early on!! 🙌🙌

Hey you, yes you, have you got our 9th birthday firmly in your plans for TOMORROW night at Plot 22?? Don't mess about! Here's some words on our wicked live music line up...

HarleyLikesMusic 👾
Our 9th birthday headliner has just released his newest album ‘2.0’ which is an inspired head nod to Sheffield’s underground scene and we’re excited for the return of an old friend to our space to celebrate with us. With a beyond unique production style, his niche is using the sounds of vintage game consoles to create innovative 8-bit multi-genre music and deliver live performances. Dubbing himself at times a VJ, his weapon of choice is either a Gameboy or Nintendo DS. Combining all forms of bass music, you’re in for a fast paced and energised performance enriched with the finest bleeps and bloops and hard basslines!

Goldivox ✨
After leaving the crowd wanting more after their captivating set at the Castlegate Festival, Goldivox return for their third ever live performance together at Rite Trax's 9th Birthday. Curating a sonic journey of soulful jazz and funk-laden sounds, the band are without a doubt one to watch out for!

Big Megla 😎
The clue is in his name - Big Megla never fails to bring big energy and big vibes to the stage. With his infectious rhythm and unmatched stage presence, he brings together dancehall, rap, reggae and world music - curating an unmissable performance. But it's not just about the music - it's the atmosphere Big Megla creates. His ability to engage the audience turns every show into a collective experience and one that keeps you buzzing long after his set is over.

Make sure you're at plot 22 tomorrow night to celebrate 9 years of our social enterprise. It's FREE ENTRY B4 11pm and only a fiver after 🔥🔥

It’s hard to believe that 9 years ago 🎂🎂 we made our dream a reality and set up RiteTrax to provide a platform for underground creative culture in Sheff! Who knew we'd be here nearly a decade later, still doin what we love to do!

To celebrate we're throwing a super sweet 9th birthday bash at our place, Plot 22, on 18th October with some familiar faces, live music, DJs, art showcases and mooreee!!

Over the many years, we’ve had the privilege of working with countless artists, creatives and people in our community, building an underground platform that brings people together through art, music and culture.

Beyond the music, we’ve deepened our work within the community, using creativity as a way to address social challenges. Through our workshops and programmes, we’ve continued to support young people and vulnerable adults, helping them to develop and improve skills, confidence as well as mental health. We feel so blessed to have been able to do what we love everyday for so long!! 🥰

Bigups to you all for your incredible support - whether that’s coming to an event, performing, volunteering, grafting, donating or however you have supported us - we have truly built something special together.

So… to thank you we are making this party as accessible as possible with entry being ✨ FREEEE B4 11 and just a fiver after!

You know what to do - get yourself down to Plot on the 18th and let’s make this birthday one to remember! 🤗

@cait.wills.art smashed it on the design too !! 💕
