Fast. 🏃‍♂️ Powerful. 🙏 HOT! 🔥 Sound like your type of yoga? . @BigPowerYoga is accurately named, because this was literally one of the most powerful yoga classes I’ve done! The flow was faster than I am used to, but the instructor was amazing and I was drenched by the end of this jam-packed class (a true testament to how great it is)! 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️💦 . One thing in particular I loved about this yoga studio is, at the end, they put a cold eucalyptus towel on your eyes, which really cools you down and feels great after the fast-paced hot yoga class! 🌿 . I tried this #HoustonTX studio, because @ginamarie_vrunnels (a long time family friend) is an instructor there and I’m so glad I did! Though our families have been friends for years, I haven’t seen her for several. 👉FUN FACT: her brother was my first best friend growing up. It was really nice to see her and we gave each other a beautiful hug. I feel like yoga is a great way to bring people together and connect as we also connect with our minds, bodies, and souls. 🙏 . #KirBeBetter #BigPowerYoga #HoustonYoga

Great Monday, BeBetter fam! Let’s move! Did you see my experiences @republicaerialyoga @blackswanyogahouston and @bigpoweryoga last week? Which #HousonTX yoga studio are you most interested in trying? 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️ . Yoga is a great form of recovery! Every time I do it, I feel very loose and great after. It’s a full body workout that engages the hamstrings, hips, and lower extremities that are tight on many people with desk jobs. I personally like to practice yoga a minimum of 2 times a week: sometimes I’ll do my own yoga flow at home/wherever I am or take a yoga cardio class on a day I need to practice active recovery. Feeling better after each of these yoga classes and can’t wait for you to try them (or do your own at-home flow) and feel better too! 🙏 . #KirBeBetter #MovementMonday #LetsMove

I am participating in the Women’s Brain Health Initiative @StandAhead Challenge! 🧠 As @katdunn said, “join me and stand UP against research bias and stand aHEAD (haha, get it?) for women’s brain health!” . Did you know that women suffer from depression, stroke, and dementia twice as much as men? I am standing because #HealthIsWeLLth for all! What are you standing for? 🙏 . I challenge @areallivemermaid @luckeyamanda @sethanderson16 and @steven.finger to #StandAHead - you have 48 hours to complete the challenge and tag me in your post or stories! #BeBetter fam, you’re welcome to join the challenge too (tag @KirBeBetter and @StandAHead if you do)! You can also donate to @StandAHead to support @womensbrains 🙌 . #KirBeBetter #HealthIsWealth #WomensBrainHealth

It’s important that we rally together now more than ever to get through these trying times and @galleryfurniture is making that happen again! 💯 . Back when the last hurricane hit, they opened their doors to people needing a place to sleep and allowed them to sleep on their furniture, so I’m inspired to give back and support their latest initiative! 👇 . If you are able, please consider donating canned goods, toiletries, and bottled water to those in need! @galleryfurniture has their doors open and is accepting these donations (more info on their website) + also a huge THANK YOU to my neighbor and friend @thepmteam for helping me help others! 🙏🙏🙏 . #KirBeBetter #GiveBack #StrongerTogether

I loved @bigpoweryoga with my whole being (and still do!), and it was time to evolve. Now we are a little over one year into sharing @bywayofvalor with the world and I am so, so grateful. It has not been perfect, yet it has been so powerful. 5 things I’ve learned after the transition: 1. Sometimes you have to completely stop what you are doing and start something brand new instead of slow slowly changing over time. 2. We can never know all the reasons that change will be supportive until after we make the change. 3. Trusting myself is the best strategy. 4. Less is more. 5. I am a Purple Cow type of gal. Life is too short to resist your evolution, an organizations evolution, a community’s evolution, or anybody’s evolution. Your job is to sense it and facilitate it. You will learn more than you can imagine. do any of these resonate with you?

I am blown away that it has been one year since @bigpoweryoga closed its doors. I have learned so much in the past year and my love for BIG, every beautiful person who walked through its doors, and it’s little place on the Mandala of space and time hs only expanded. Thank you for teaching me what big love is and how to receive even more of it through letting go.
