Yesterday we wrapped our writing workshop for our commissioned play Sauvagesse: a wild love story ❤️ 🎉🤩
It was an amazing week full of laughs, tears, and discovery. We can't wait to share it with you so stay tuned for future updates 👀

Written by: Yolanda Bonnell
Co-director/co-dramturgs: Fay Nass and Quelemia Sparrow
Performers: Danica Charlie, Kelsey Kanatan Wavey, Sky Campbell
Stage Manager: Jasmin Sandhu
Producer: Karter Masuhara

About the play: In 1932, in a secluded section of their reservation, two sisters, Marie and Therese, who have recently lost their mother, work to keep their small farm running during the great depression. When a young, new Indian agent shows up and wants to help them, Marie finds herself pulled into a dangerous, wild love affair, much to the confusion and annoyance of Therese. Marie does what she can to hold true to the teachings her mother passed on to her while being swept up in desire.

I officially (a year ago) got my degree in rolling around on the floor! (With distinction 😉)

But for real thank you so much to my friends and family who supported me through this journey. Thank you to all the insanely talented artists and creatives I had the pleasure to work with throughout my degree. And of course an extra special thank you to my cohort. I wouldn’t have wanted to do this with anyone else. Truly through tough times yall showed up and I’m so thankful 🫶🏻

Be Young! Be Foolish! Be Happy!
