2026 Gridiron Arena was an absolute slapper of a match! Great stages and staff at @lindencompetitiveshooting as always and my squad was filled with some good dudes 🤙🏾 Aside from a couple of bone-headed mistakes (one during a reshoot 🤦🏾‍♂️), I shot a relatively clean match. BUT the most important part of the match were the takeaways to implement into my training going forward.

1) Step on the gas a little harder and get more aggressive in movement.
2) More visual patience on small steel.

All in all, finished 89/289 shooters overall and 27/86 in Limited Optics A:221 C:42 D:1 NS:2 Total Time: 243.31

Absolute terrible match for me - felt super sluggish, missed my spots, slipped on the classy, didn’t have enough oil on the gun, etc. Wasn’t feeling it before I even left the house, but still had to go get the work in and I’m glad I did. Learning occurred AND you still gotta get the work in when you don’t feel like it. Finished 23/82 OA and 8/29 in LO. A:112 C:21 D:3 M:2 Total Time: 142.84

Made it out to the 9/4 @manzanogunrunners Match. Shot a relatively clean match with the @staccato2011 XL (with a new extractor). One stupid mistake cost me a bunch of time, but ended up 20/70 Overall and 8/30 in LO. Definitely learned some things that will get implemented into training going forward.🤘🏾Fs

Welp today was the day of malfunctions. 3 total on the day. Gonna have to tear it apart and give a thorough cleaning and inspections, but the bright spot was the 87.24% M class run on the classy 25-04 We Did Our Homework. 27/104 OA /// 6/29 LO

Yesterday’s practice session was trying to focus on aggression mixed with visual patience. Set up a quick 4 paper (3 open, 1 tight partial) and mini popper for my staff guys and me.

This wasn’t my fastest or cleanest run of the day, but I firmly believe if you don’t demo everything for students (and your staff), you’re wrong

Had a chance to get out to @lindencompetitiveshooting Fun Match last weekend. First match in about 4 months, first time shooting CO, first time shooting the M&P (in a match), and first time shooting a match from concealment. All in all, I’ll take how I did for now. More work to be done.
