Excited to announce Memo Ortiz as our new Irrigon Junior High Boys Basketball Head Coach!

Memo has been part of our Irrigon High School Boys Basketball staff since last season and will continue serving as a high school assistant while taking on this new role.

Memo brings a great basketball mind, works well with our kids, and has a passion for helping players learn and develop. We’re excited to have him leading our junior high program and helping build a strong foundation for the future of Irrigon basketball.

Bilingual Basketball Year Two! Thank you guys for having me back out again!

It was great being in the gym, seeing familiar faces from all around, and watching so much high-level competition throughout the league. Bilingual Basketball has grown so much since its first year, and it is clear how much this program means to the community.

What they are building goes beyond basketball. It gives local athletes another place to compete, continue developing, and stay connected to the game during the summer. Programs like this help strengthen the foundation of basketball in our area and give players more opportunities to grow.

I am grateful I got to be part of it again. Covering the league pushed me creatively, helped me sharpen my editing workflow, and reminded me how much I enjoy being able to document moments like these.

Thank you again to Bilingual Basketball Summer League for having me. Excited to see the continued growth and I will see you guys at the upcoming camps!
