John Philbin nice enough to show me around Oahu and keep@me safe in big waves while they were shooting “Blue Crush”. John was a surfing advisor brought on by director John Stockwell. Philbin an impressive actor with credits ranging from playing the classic character’Turtle’ in “North Shore,” “Point Break” and I’m proud to say I represented him when I was a talent agent and made his deal and locked him into the Western masterpiece “Tombstone.” Which is a great film.

@johnphilbin_ @tombstoneofficial @pointbreak #pointbreakmovie #oahu #hawaii #northshoremovie Thanks for your calm guidance in building surf John. .

Thx @billdanziger Bill a mate of mine in early eighties, he is a gem , we played quarters one night and he said stick with him and killed it he was getting quarters in the glass every time . Bill was toying with this camera and he caught the golden moment in the 82 OP Pro , this being the third event I had won that year. Then he raced me on the 405 and blew me off the map , he drives like a maniac , overall Billy and the Newport crew and I had a fun summer , we were doing backside 360’s everyday , with 50% strike rate. California summer what not to Love.
