A quick highlight from my @firehouserockband deep dive on YT.

One of my favorite @billleverty solos: "Reach for the Sky." That last lick is absolutely diabolical--I was still biffing it after multiple attempts, including this one 😂

Beyond the lead work, this is a perfect example of how much goes on musically in these songs--dynamic backing riffs, vocal asides, and especially, some tasteful cowbell.

Fresh off the success of their debut album, the band released “All She Wrote” as the fourth and final single from their self-titled, platinum-selling smash record.

Within just one month, the track blew up on the charts, cementing itself as a Top 25 US Rock hit and solidifying FireHouse as a force on MTV and rock radio alike.

Between CJ Snare’s killer vocals, Bill Leverty’s iconic guitar riffs, and that unforgettable chorus, this track still hits just as hard over three decades later.

🔥 30 YEARS OF FIREHOUSE’S GOOD ACOUSTICS 🎸

Earlier this week, FireHouse’s Good Acoustics turned 30!

Released in 1996, the album found the band stripping things down, revisiting some of their best-known songs with acoustic arrangements while also introducing new material.

“You Are My Religion” such a great example of this era. A beautiful melody, heartfelt lyrics and C.J. Snare’s unmistakable voice carrying the emotion of the song.

No matter how much the music industry changed during the ’90s, FireHouse still knew how to write a song that could stand on its own.
