Current mood… at the height of the pandemic, Boy George sang a duet with this beautiful artist, and Culture Club performed a virtual concert with no live audience for anybody around the world, feeling lonely and alone. Including me. Find your rainbow in the dark. Peace and love for all - and goodnight. Love you @boygeorgeofficial 👑 and of course my Boo @billmulleninc - not everybody had someone to go through 2020 with. I did. 💜

Querelle in The Face 22 years ago now looks almost like a catalogue of things nobody was calling “archive” back then and which people now hunt down with a frankly unhealthy determination.
The editorial features Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2004, Hedi Slimane’s Strip collection: belts, a suit, bracelets, rings, the iconic ripped waxed jeans and the rare beaded necklace. They are paired with Helmut Lang tops and an aluminium skirt.
The title itself provides the necessary degree of literary reference and eroticism. The male body, metal, narrow silhouettes, jewellery, a touch of sailor ambiguity and yet nothing feels particularly labored. Dior Homme supplies the fragile, slightly sickly rock ’n’ roll boy; Helmut Lang brings the coldness and industrial severity. Together they look so natural you might assume they had always belonged to the same collection.
