Crazyyy.

But careful! The rule is: if you are looking for someone to speak to you in English, especially at the beginning, you won’t find them, (“Vous parlez anglais?” “NO!”) and you’ll be like, “damn! I only know two words in French!” But you’ll try.
The real glow-up comes when you dare and feel confident enough to try speaking French, just for them to non-chalantly answer to you… in English!! Mais c’est la vie, I guess.

I learned to love Paris with time. It’s pretty and there are tons of things to do.
(the food is still better in Italy tho, no contest 😌🤭)

I still missed out on a few I wanted to do or achieve because of time, lack of confidence, or the “I’ll do it later” mentality. But I’m proud of what I still managed, learning to accept to do it also alone.

I like to think that leaving some things partially unexplored isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
It can give you a new chance to come back to them. In the same places, in others, when you are more ready, at the right time, with other people, with new awareness, or in a more “like it’s supposed to be” way. So we'll see...
Je vais avec le vent, Nervous and Excited for what’s coming.

Plus de 'Bienvenue à bord!'⚓️, je mets les voiles vers des nouveaux horizons!

Before even starting my journey here, the recruiter asked me: "After this, will you be like Pocahontas, going wherever the wind takes you?"

Funny enough, Pocahontas is my favourite princess, so I liked the quote. But I also wondered why he would ask such a question as I was just about to start and planning to probably stay. Maybe he saw me failing or it was just an early sign that this would only be a temporary harbour.

Through pics, I will obviously share the good moments, which at first I couldn’t see clearly because overshadowed by the difficult ones.

Au début, en fait, I thought I would last just a few months, or less. The challenges were many and I was like,"were you crazy coming here, especially without even knowing French well??"

But I stayed. I wanted to make things right.

Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t decide impulsively.
I chose to fight, to learn, to make a decision only after I found some balance. And I kinda found it but...if there’s one thing I learned at Newport, it’s that you can plan all you want, but like a boat, you also need the right wind and sea to move forward.
Sometimes it's just better to listen to the signs, and change the destination.

Thanks to the people who helped me and also those who didn't because I still learned and understood a lot. I learned to filter, to prioritize what truly matters, to stand up for myself, and to value my own worth. Now,I can appreciate more my good moments here.

I cherished how Disney allowed me to connect with guests and cast members from so many different places. The situations you face can be surreal or the requests and remarks 'bizarre' but it's all part of the magic!
And at the end,for all, I'm grateful.
