Happy Friday, friends!

It’s the weekend, which hopefully means you’ll be enjoying some delicious bites at your favorite places or adventuring out to try somewhere new.

This week’s lineup is all about one of life’s most perfect foods - THE MIGHTY BURGER! These are some of my favorite spots and I still have so many left to try.

As always, I’m taking your suggestions for restaurants to draw and burgers to eat! Send ‘em my way, along with a stack of extra napkins please! 😉

Swipe through for all the burger-y goodness and bookmark this post for the next time you’re craving one yourself! 👩🏽‍🎨❤️🍔

First time trying @billsburgerofficial in Van Nuys and I was pleasantly surprised by how simple yet flavorful this classic burger is.
No frills here—just an old school grill, a vintage cash register, and burgers made the same way for decades. Halfway through I actually stopped using ketchup or any condiments because it honestly didn’t need it. That’s when you know it’s a good burger. 😅 (Although looking back at the pics, that tiny piece of lettuce is really bothering me now 😂)
Part of what makes this spot so special is its history. The stand was run for decades by the late legendary owner Bill Elwell, who personally grilled burgers for the community since the 1960s—helping turn this tiny stand into one of LA’s most beloved burger spots. #lafoodie #classicburger #burgerlovers #laeats #restaurant

I wrote a second book! Only this time instead of chasing cheeseburgers along California’s cool coast, I traded it in for the sweltering summer heat of my hometown — the San Fernando Valley. Through exploring The Valley’s many boulevards and canyon roads, I have been lucky enough to meet and tell the stories of incredible individuals who just so happen to make even better burgers. A huge thank you to all the amazing restaurants that inspired me to write this book and I hope you grow to love The Valley just as much as I do when “Cheeseburger Summer” releases Oct. 2. —> preorder link in bio
