Released on April 10, 2001, today marks the 25th anniversary of “Off The Tank”, the studio compilation from various former No Limit Records artists 🪖
Released on Most Wanted Empire, “Off The Tank” was composed entirely of former tank soldiers. Signing with No Limit Records in the mid ‘90s, the duo known as Kane & Abel (@kaneandabeltwins) released successful albums such as “7 Sins” and “Am I My Brother’s Keeper” before parting ways with the label in 1999. Creating their own label Most Wanted Empire, the duo released albums such as “Rise To Power” and “Most Wanted” before assembling various other former No Limit artists for the “Off The Tank” compilation in 2001. Executive produced by Abraham “Big Abe” Johnson (@djbigabeems) and Vercy “V-90” Carter (@vercycarter90), the “Off The Tank” compilation included the single ‘What U Want’. Former No Limit artists featured on the album include Kane & Abel, Mystikal, Fiend (@504fiend), Mr. Serv-On (@mr_serv_on_nolimitrecords), Skull Duggery (@therealskullduggrey), Steady Mobb’n (@billybavgate), Pheno of the Gambino Family (@pheno_gambino3), Mo B. Dick (@mobdickofficial), and Big Ed (@thereal.biged), among others 🪖
Following the release of “Off The Tank”, Kane & Abel secured a major-label deal with MCA Records, leading to the rerelease of their album “Most Wanted” in 2001. Shortly thereafter, however, the duo were dropped from the label due to their legal issues at the time 🪖

🔥 Veteran No Limit Records artist Billy Bavgate absolutely TORCHES the mic — straight pressure, no gimmicks.

Courtesy of Lil Blood TV, this is grown-man rap at its finest. Bars sharp, delivery seasoned, and that No Limit legacy still hitting hard. 🐐💥

Salute to the vets who set the tone and still raise the bar.
