An Instagram caption won’t be able to capture the last two weeks, but here it goes…

Back in January, @burniefit asked if I wanted to take on Houston for our first mixed doubles, with the goal of qualifying for Worlds. We didn’t quite get there, but finishing 12th out of 2,088 teams and 6th in our age group is something I’m proud of. For our first race together, it’s a building block and a clear sign there’s a lot more in the tank.

This is just the beginning, @burniefit.

Then Miami. Quick turnaround, not much time to recover, and this one wasn’t about chasing a time. It was about showing up for myself after Dallas didn’t reflect what I know I’m capable of. Next time, I’m going 100 unbroken, not 99 (thanks judge)

At the end of the day, it’s never just about the race.

It’s about the people. The friendships. I’m grateful for the crew I have in Dallas, and for my college friends who showed up in Miami. And for all the messages and support along the way, it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Next up: NYC Pro Doubles with @reed.navara - Time to get back to work.

Back to when my friends and I wanted to get shredded for spring break… and we did just that in under 8 weeks. All while still being social .
