🦋 Ofrenda Update 🦋

I’ve added even more photos to our shop Ofrenda, and a few people have also stopped by the shop to add their own framed pictures. 🥹

Seeing it continue to grow has been so special. Every photo represents someone deeply loved and remembered, and I’m truly grateful that you’ve trusted me with a small part of honoring them.

The more photos we add, the more lights I’ll be adding too. I already know it’s going to look absolutely beautiful when everything is glowing together for Día de los Muertos. ❤️🕯️

🦋 Shop Ofrenda 🦋

Hey fam! 🥰

I built this ofrenda here at the shop and would love to invite everyone to be a part of it by bringing in a photo of a loved one you’d like to remember and honor.

This time of year is so special because it gives us a chance to celebrate and remember the people and pets who are no longer with us. ❤️

You’re welcome to bring in a small framed photo, or just bring a picture and we can add it to our wall.

If you can’t make it into the shop but would still like to be included, send me your photo and I’d be happy to print it for you! I also have some cute little frames here that you can choose from. 🥹

And this isn’t just for clients, anyone is welcome to participate.

If you have any questions, just send me a message. I’d be honored to help celebrate your loved ones with you. 🦋💛

🎪 Sideshow Beauties 🎪

I loved working on this painting and everything it represents. Each tattoo on her body is based off a real tattooed woman in history. Women have been a part of tattoo history for much longer than most people realize, and many of them got their start as sideshow attractions.

Each of these women was a trailblazer in her own way, helping pave the way for generations of tattoo artists to come.

Obviously you guys know I heavily fuck with @mediumbuild & his song “Ben Affleck“ is one of my all time favs. A while back @halloweenherbivoreart drew this for me and today big dawg @billyozjohnson tattooed it on me and added the lyrics (and he killed it as usual). I know you all know the pic, swipe left to see!

When I hear it my thoughts are that sometimes life gets so dark that you don’t even realize how deep you’ve fallen.

You get comfortable in the misery. You stop looking for the way out because the darkness starts feeling familiar. You’re exhausted from fighting, exhausted from trying, and eventually you just sit there in the pit and convince yourself that maybe this is where you’re supposed to stay.

Sometimes you don’t need someone to fix you. You don’t need a perfect answer or some magical moment that makes everything okay.

Sometimes you just need someone or something to shake the hell out of you.

To pull you out of your own head. To remind you that there is still music, laughter, love, ridiculousness, people who need you, and a whole damn life happening outside the walls you’ve built around yourself.

Maybe getting out of the pit doesn’t always look like suddenly being happy.

Maybe it looks like finally looking up.

Maybe it’s one tiny step toward the light.

And maybe sometimes, when you’re too tired to climb out yourself, you just need someone to reach down and say, “Come on. You’re not staying here homegirl.”

Not because the darkness wasn’t real.

But because it doesn’t have to be the place where your story ends. #mediumbuild
