There are only 12 seats still available for MONKIN AROUND TRIO on Sunday 18 October, playing the music of the great jazz innovator Thelonious Monk.

Due to family circumstances (happy ones!) double bassist Luke Fowler can't join us, so we welcome Misha Mullov-Abbado, a bandleader and BBC New Generation Artist and with three critically acclaimed albums on Edition Records to his name.

On drums, Greek-born musician Billy Pod, aka Vasileios Podaras, whose "abilities as writer and performer are refreshing, different and most welcome” — Jazzwise. Pod is also named a Top 10 drummer by French ‘Βatterie’ Μagazine and is a finalist of the Made In New York International Jazz Competition.

On saxophone, Dave O'Higgins, a creative collosus on the scene and Jazz pathway leader at London College of Contemporary Media. Amongst many wonderful artists, O'Higgins has performed with John Dankworth and Cleo Laine, Frank Sinatra at the Royal Albert Hall and on tour with Ray Charles.

£10 advance tickets are available from

and The Hope bar.

1. In the middle of this heatwave, I am really missing the 15°C in the cave at @thejazzcavefestival
Here are some video snaps from that day.

2. A few days ago, we got played on @bbcradio3 by the amazing @alicezawadzki Thank you so much for the kind words and support!

3.Today is Bandcamp Friday, which means most of what you spend goes directly to artists. If you’ve been meaning to support us (or any artist you love), today’s the day.

Hope you all are doing well! 🫶🏻

This past weekend we had a concert in a cave at one of the most magical festivals I’ve ever experienced, @thejazzcavefestival

Huge thanks for having us and for taking such great care of us. We absolutely loved it… here’s to many more editions ahead! ✨

To celebrate the moment, I put together a little reel capturing the journey door-to-door from London to the festival and back again.

Much love to my dear OG brothers @bere.ris , @billypod , @thodorisziarkas , and @cemevin1 , and to my new brothers @labrospapanikolaou and @e.remsak The hang was just as special as the music!
