Day6: the Signs🥹 that you're on the right path. 🇱🇺🛻🇮🇶

After leaving my auntie, I got a feeling of doubt and also a bit being lost, "am I doing the right thing"?

On top, it was a special date.

Pouring rain, we stop with Ketchup in Andermatt for a hot chocolate.

After walking 2 streets (more wasn't possible because of the rain), a sign with BABYLON towers in front of me.

Coincidence?

Since Saif's🤎 passing, there's too many signs for me to call them "random".

After arriving at our accommodation, taking Ketchup for a walk - all of a sudden I'm surrounded by car plates with UR (because we'rein the Canton Uri🇨🇭).

At that point I can only laugh 😅 ... 2 massive signs in less than 2h.🥹

When my mind was lost, my heart needed a sign - and there they were.

Feeling ultimately assured.

Tip of the day: keep an open heart, mind and eye - the signs will show you the way.

🇮🇶 This is Saddam Hussein's $140,000,000 yacht sitting in Basra, Iraq.
I was able to get exclusive access to this incredible piece of history showing the lavish lifestyle of one man using public funds...
I adjusted the price to inflation as back then it was purchased for $30M which was pretty much the country's GDP back then! 🫢

🇮🇶 Mosul is known as the city taken over by ISIS but I think almost 10 years later, it is so much more than that.

After seeing all the destructions and speaking to locals who were kind enough to share their experiences during those hard times with me, I know have a better understanding about everything that happened here.

With that being said, in 2026 Mosul is so much more than just the city that was captured by ISIS. Tons of work is being done to rebuilt this incredibly diverse city from houses to mosques, churches and more. People are there loving their daily lives and slowly recovering from that period in time while being hopeful about the future.

I was only met with kindness, generosity and smiles making it one of my favorite stop on my Iraqi adventure.

🇮🇶 I took the overnight train from Basra in the south of Iraq all the way to Baghdad the country's capital city. 🚂
It took just over 10 and a half hours through the night but fun fact, driving between these two cities only takes about 5hrs. What would you prefer?
