We are thrilled to be partnering with @agoraartists to bring Holding Up The Void to @artsmissionoakcliff and the Dallas arts community October 8–10, 2026! Ticket link in Bio The Void is the place where we do the gritty work of growing older. This multilingual performance uses the physical languages of dance and American Sign Language (ASL) interchangeably to guide the audience through one version of that aging process. Set in an analog, womb-like landscape, dancers work in cycles as they grapple with each other and all versions of themselves: the remembered, the hoped-for, and their imperfect present forms. Performers manipulate various tape machines, including a reel-to-reel eight-track, which record, rewind, replay, and transform their interactions. The cycles are punctuated by the audience, who change their seats at the performers’ signal throughout. Each move is a reminder to keep shifting our perspective to join the performers in holding up the Void. ARCOS investigates the blend of ASL and dance as complementary physical languages, inspired by Alice Sheppard’s challenge to consider accessibility as aesthetic. Dance is a highly subjective art form in which each audience member takes away their own interpretation. Similarly, ASL is a gestural language that is not a word-for-word translation of English, and a sign can take on many meanings depending on its context and the expression, energy, and emotion of the signer. In the performance, ASL sometimes provides direct interpretation of sonic elements for Deaf or hard-of-hearing viewers, and other times a poetic response or preface to what the dancers are engaged in: a layer of meaning legible in full only to those who sign, but which, much like dance, can be felt by all. HAPPY NOCTURNAVERSARY TO US 🩷💜 TWO YEARS OF NOCTURNA CABARET Two years of amplifying performers of color and the Global South diaspora Continuing to break barriers and create new norms through unabashed sensuality, cultural expression, and simply impeccable taste and style. Paying homage to our ancestors through movement and sound but also getting to explore and define our own relationships to our cultures ❤️‍🔥 We thank all the incredible performers and crew members we’ve made art with so far. In the past two years, we’ve produced 6 packed out shows, including two benefit shows where we raised over $1000 for mutual aid efforts, introduced cultural dance workshop offerings, and won a grant with a 100 point score - to name a few of our accomplishments. We couldn’t have done it without you all! Bigggg things to come soon 😙

This past weekend I was immensely blessed to participate in a creative retreat hosted by @futurefronttexas & @thelinehotel 📍 I felt recentered, inspired, and full of wonder from the many perspectives I was surrounded by. there really isn't enough photos or videos for words to encapsulate the feelings, the emotions or gratitude that I have for ✨👁️ The Summer Sauron Turned Pretty 👁️✨ if you would've told me that one day I would be one of the amazing writers for the @themuseumofhumanachievement Christmas play tradition I would believe you. especially if you know me, you know i'm obsessed with Lord of the rings, travel and makeover montages and any chance to have a spotlight. a couple years ago when I was asked to act in Edward normalhands I knew that I wanted to one day be a part of creating one. I couldn't have asked for a better writing team than Roxy, Megan, Sawyer and Sam. The writers rooms made my days so much more fun and bright. If only you could see even half of the stuff that didn't make it into the play. all I can say is that I am so grateful. for every single person that I got a chance to work with. for all the people that came together to make our visions come to life. the amazing choreography that Kelsey does, the behind-the-scenes work that Tor, sofianne, jay, celine and neil do is incredible. i can't you have a better example as to why you need to be giving back to the local creative scene than this. People volunteered to make the sets + costumes. we took less than two weeks to rehearse and put together a play that almost 2000 people saw and loved. and sold out every show. I understand how Rihanna feels sometimes and why she just disappears. it is so hard being so beautiful and so humble and so talented at everything that you do and every time you put out something amazing the only thing people ask you is what are you doing next you need to sit with the fact that I created something so beautiful this year that people will think about it for years to come. that I sang like a baby angel every night, back to back love to everyone apart of it. it truly has been so hard to come back to earth after this. post show depression is real, and I miss every single person in the cast and crew. and a big shout out to bisexuals!! we will not be erased 💕 long live moha. long live gandalf the tight. long live jizz high. never be afraid to just PLAY

The experience of “The Summer Sauron Turned Pretty” has been a reminder of how accessible magic is through unbridle creativity and committed goofballs. Writing as a collective with Sawyer, Sam, Megan & Aira was all supportive “what if…”’. Every silly idea came to life via the magician crew and cast of MoHA. Watching dumb ideas I wrote be performed by others was 🥹👌🏼 “Something has changed within me… something is crunk inside.” Eternally grateful my sweet Jizzites 💝🎅🏿
