The time has come! We are extremely excited to announce that the IFC will be holding our second annual golf tournament at Chenango Valley State Park Saturday October 24 at 10:00 AM. The tournament will be 18 holes with a cart, with competitions such as Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Best Score as a team (Scramble) with prizes! Additionally there will be a lunch afterwards (which is included in the price!), as well as raffles. Please register with the link in our bio, when registering in the description add your name and your team name. All proceeds will be donated to Miss Aphrodite in support of Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. We now present our second brother from DSIG, Joe LaCorte!

What tradition in your chapter means the most to you?

Big Little is the tradition that means the most to me because it shows how essential camaraderie can be towards others.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a potential new member?

A piece of advice I can give to a potential new member would be to not inhibit yourself and fall short of your potential in life because a strong mindset means everything.

‼️ Brotherhood Spotlight ‼️

We will present 2 brothers from Delta Sigma Phi. To start off we have our brother Cole Atkins!

What’s one lesson you’ve learned from your chapter brotherhood?

One lesson that I’ve learned from my brotherhood experience is to put yourself out there as much as possible. Being social and open to new things is very important when trying to build a bond with your brothers. Talk to people, go to every event, chill at the house every moment you can! I’ve made some incredible friends in times and places I never would’ve imagined myself in. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and make the most of everything. These are your brothers for life.

What impact do you hope to leave on your chapter?

As mental health chair for Delta Sig, I want to stress the importance of mental health to our brothers. In every fraternity, everyone should feel at home. But in today’s world, there’s a bit of a stigma around reaching out for help. It’s sometimes seen as ‘soft’, which should never be the case. I want to continue my efforts of just being there for my chapter, and have everyone feel like they can reach if they need. I hope to have a positive impact where I can create an stress-free environment for those who need to speak up.
