✨ 19.3 miles later ✨
A few years ago, I never would’ve believed I could finish the Chills & Thrills Challenge—10k + Half Marathon. Fast forward through many challenging phases of growth to my 3rd half marathon and second 19.3 mile challenge and here we are! It was hard, yes. But I’m grateful every day for a body that lets me do so much.

Make no mistake: this wasn’t given to me. It was earned—mile after mile, rep after rep, choice after choice. 💪🎃👟

I had the time of my life at the @polynesianculturalctr and I will never forget it. Totally worth walking all day through the intense heat of North Shore, Oahu. 20/10 recommend for any of you who plan a trip to Hawaii in the future💗🌴🍍🌺

So when I'm not cutting, sanding, and/or painting wood; you can find me with a camera in hand most likely shooting one of my beautiful nieces. This weekend I found another hidden talent. My Goddaughter said she wanted a day of the dead photoshoot and out came my paint brushes (the very ones I use on wood) and a sugar skull face she had. #ilovephotography #nikongirl #familyaboveeverything #familyfirst #inmybackyard #dayofthedead #girlsjustwannahavefun #sweetsixteen #tobeyoungagain #whoknew #sugarskulls #inthewoodwork

Having a rough day? Well here's a personal post that is worth posting. Meet my beautiful nephew. He turns 14 today and has been through a lot more than the average adult in just his 14 years. At the age of 5 my family went through one of the toughest things we have ever gone threw. This little boy was born with a defective heart. He underwent reconstructive open heart surgery and was blessed with a second chance at life. Inspiring, right? At just the age of 5 he proved to us his strength and courage. He got up and walked just the day after and was home so much sooner than anticipated. He taught us all more than he knows. He's our own personal little superman. He gets his heart checked yearly and I'm sure this will be with him for the rest of his life; but today I give thanks to God that he is healthy. He is the same bad kid he's always been. His personality didn't leave him and he's one of a kind. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!! I love you and I'll see you later. #myhero #superman #happybirthday #itwasstorytime #heartsurgerysurvivor #familyfirst #familyaboveeverything #blessed #putslifeintoperspective
