The Bio Catalytic Cell has journeyed far beyond the lab. It was exhibited at the London Zoo, travelled across Europe with the WES e-series, and made its way to MIT during the Biosummit as a desktop-sized version. This ongoing engagement with public audiences highlights the potential of algae-powered systems for energy sensing and bio-integrated design.

"It can be overwhelming to witness, experience, and take in all the injustices of the moment; the good news is that they're all connected. So if your little corner of work involves pulling at one of those threads, you're helping unravel the whole damn cloth."
– Ursula Wolfe-Rocca
