I will take part in #birdtober whenever I have time to do an entry. Doing #birbfest2026 in January was so much fun and helped keep me going. Here are some birds I painted for it. 🐦

An Indian Peafowl for day 31, the last day of #birbfest! I loved doing this peahen's green neck and brown feathers.

Big thanks to @birdietam.art and @monkeymintaka for the beautiful, cool, colourful, inspiring birbs! I've enjoyed this challenge so much and I'm so pleased I carried on with it.

I love nuthatch birbs! I painted this one using water soluble graphite. It's a tricky but such satisfying process.
The bird was inspired by @birbfest.challenge from earlier this year.
I didn't complete the challenge at the time but I ended up drawing all the birds very recently.

Many coloured rush tyrant 🐦‍⬛
Last of the sketches from @birbfest.challenge I wanted to finish. Now it’s time for some new illustrations of different birds – enjoying drawing those so will definitely pick a few more to illustrate.

Swipe for some more details and a little doodle – remember to hydrate those warm summer days ☀️

Enjoy and share!

I deleted the previous post because I needed to make a(n analog) minor edit to this majestic bird. You can see the changes in the highlighted stories.
